CONUNDRUM. the breathiest of insulted laughs escapes their lips, a hint of a ghost &&. nothing more. a lunatic? AIMLESS? while normally vanitas would ignore it, pass it off with a chuckle &&. some lighthearted gesture ( smile to hide the pain, it helps, it makes it easier ), something about the notion coming from the lips of this man absolutely INFURIATES them. still, their expression never becomes more involved than their menacing smile, however little difference they expect their DISPOSITION to make.

( then again, depending upon her wishes, perhaps it is a CURSE indeed. )

He has places to go, but he will not mind spending some time with Vanitas ( he would do anything to escape social gatherings ).

“To be honest, I’ve been sent here for other reasons.” As time passed he has learned the fragile and delicate game of politics, and despite his hate for it he knows he has to play a part in it till his successor comes. “So I guess this is the country where you live?”

CONUNDRUM. vanitas suddenly bears an unusually serious smile, knowing that the chances of him being in their country, around them, &&. with the CURRENT THREATS that plague paris without seeing even a single vampire are extremely slim. the expression they give is clearly a hint towards something more, but no FURTHER INFORMATION is supplied.

they glance at their companion, eyes of CERULEAN twinkling.

CONUNDRUM. certainly, this source of amusement is well worth the ( almost dying ) factor of meeting the hellfire witch herself. vanitas chuckles lightly, making the ever-mature kissy face at the vampire, shuffling yet closer.
