(I’m gonna go with one of our Ava AUs if you don’t mind)
Who holds the other’s hand first?: Walter. Ava at first seems to have no regard for what is appropriate and what is not, and once she notices it bothers him, she’s much too observant of it to touch him without his permission. So when the time comes that he starts thinking he may actually like her back, it’s Walt’s turn to pursue the contact, and he starts with holding hands. Slides a finger close to her and slooooowly moves to intertwine their fingers. Ava lets him do because she doesn’t know what he’s doing but, hey, it’s nice.
Who initiates the first kiss?: Both, I guess? Ava asks him if she may kiss him and for all answer, he kisses her.
Who asks the other out for the first date?: Walter. He’s super dorky about it too, but it’s part of his charm.
Who says ‘I love you’ first?: Ava. She sees him trying to comb down that one tuft of hair on his head that keeps refusing to stay down (Without succeeding, I might add) one morning and it just slips out.
Who’s ready for marriage first?: Ava, buuuuut to be fair she doesn’t understand human marriage too well. So I guess it’s fair to say Walter was really, REALLY the one who was ready first.
Who wants kids first?: Ava. Creepy as it sounds, she wants them pretty much the moment she realizes she’s actually in love with this guy.
Who’s the first to break down because they’re going to be parents?: Walter. Babies are his weakness.
Who’s the first to cuss in front of the baby?: Oh boy, I feel like either of them would slip and almost cuss in front of the baby but catch themselves halfway and change it to something harmless, but I’m gonna go with Walter because he’s easier to make mad enough to cuss.
Who’s name does the baby learn first?: Mom’s is easier but it’s not her real name technically, so Walter
Who’s least ready to let their kids grow up?: Walter. Particularly if the baby is a girl.
Who cries when the kids leave?: BOTH.
Who makes tea for the other because they really shouldn’t be getting up so much anymore?: Ava, for some weird reason, age doesn’t seem to affect her half as much.
Who teases the grandkids most?: Ava. She always seems to know if they’re hiding something and know just where to prod.
Who spoils the grandkids most?: BOTH DO, just in different ways. Walter is the ‘Let’s go get an ice-cream/fishing/to the park/bondign activity’ grandparent and Ava is the ‘You like that videogame? Here, I got it for you. Nevermind that your mom said I shouldn’t’ grandparent.
Who insists on doing even the most simple of tasks for the other because they’re both growing so old and they really need to rest?: Uhhhh, yeah, they’re both totally growing old, ahahaha, it’s not like one of them’s immortal, ahem. Ava, again, has the least problems related to her age, so her.
Who dies first?: Walter. She brings him back, though.
