Visionary Reductionist was written while licking my existential wounds and staying with my mentor and friend, Barney Bush (1944-2021,) at his cabin in Regina, NM. I wanted to capture the last sparks of magic from that time before it faded into the furnace of memory. This was just after graduating from IAIA and prior to attending Naropa, I was confused and on the cusp of a new adventure. Barney provided a safe haven from the storm of change that I was going through. His wisdom and humor were intertwined, the like of which will never pass this way again. You're with the ancestors now, Barney. You're like a ghost writer in the sky. Aye.
