OH MY GOD, THIS HURTS!! Poor Mario!!!!!

I’m looking at probably 3-4 parts for this one, I think, and it’s gonna be a very cathartic fic for Sharks fans by the end. We’re just in the thick of the hurt part of hurt/comfort. So, it will get better. I’m going to post the parts on here separately and when it’s all completed I’ll copy it to AO3 but I’m expecting this to be a very niche fic tbh.

Despite being half Dutch that is something I never got homemade either. But the store bought versions here aren't the same as in NL. And you can never go wrong with doubling the spices

I first had them as a hotel sample when I was in Ireland and I liked them so I started looking at home and I’ve gotten them at Aldi before. Neither of those were spiced the way I made them though. (Some of mine make your tongue burn just a tiny bit which is how I like it.)

Wait speculaas??? You have a recipe for those?

I do! I found it online last year so I have no clue how accurate it is but I liked what I made so I’m making them again. I’ve only ever had speculaas from stores, idk what homemade tastes like (I am not Dutch whatsoever). I don’t have the proper molds either, I just use Christmas cookie cutters. And I double the spices because I double the spices and flavoring on literally any recipe I make.

I am sort of tempted, because be the change you want to see in the world and all that, but I also would end up down the rabbit hole of another series and I don’t think I can do that again. xD
