Oh boy time for me to do my thing and watch closely: New HTP episode released

When discussing the Regent of Great Yarmouth (referred to in the scene as "The master"), we see the background use the same silhouette as the figure credited as "The Monk" in the final scenes of the first episode.

I think that the theory of Kevin actually having telepathy, still screaming at D about the blender every so often (assuming he hasn't had time to meet Kevin since purchasing it) is very funny so I'm going with it. Kevin's dribble while going off script says "POWERFUL WIZARD LAZER".

The symptoms that Spit displays line up heavily with those of the Delirium (note that there are many many different effects that the Delirium may take), with one of the most common reactions being catatonia (essentially becoming unresponsive in shock/fear), also implying that Spit has a willpower of 1.

Crossing off the supposed kindred from being a "Vampire Wizard" (presumably not only relating to Tremere but we don't know how the family classifies them), Kitten proposes them to be a Sludge Lad (Nosferatu) or Humanimal (Gangrel), also making a joke about La Ghostra Nostra, which I believe is mean to be a pun on La Cosa Nostra (The Sicilian Mafia).

As the group is still going by the assumption that this IS a vampire, they are treating it as if Simon (Spit) has been dominated (See previous HTP post for Domination). That AND Matilda posits that he could simply be faking it I Wonder Why.

Also yeah I ship it.

Brok is genuinely pissed at the idea of Spit being the ghoul for basically no reason bar the fact that they are/were friends for a long time.

Now we get to the part where I get to talk at length about the Irish man.

to start off with, I haven't actually the best guess as to what Occam fully is (other than being a hedge mage). The amulet he is wearing has a sigil which is common in Celtic circles called the Triskelion, this also has ties to Hellenistic history (most specifically in Sicily, which being the second mention of Sicily sent me down a weird rabbit hole, allow me to elaborate:)

Basically, the triskelion is linked to Sicily, Hellenism (used as a common symbol during the period) and the god Hermes (Hermes helped Perseus fetch the head of Medusa). This isn't the important part but by God if I did this research it isn't going to waste. (also there is a theoretical link between the fact that the symbol is not too distant from the god Hermes and the Order of Hermes but I don't think that's important)

In Sicily, in WoD, there are pretty much only two things of note: In Syracuse (city within Sicily for those unaware) is the old centre of the Clan Lasombra, however it has not been in major use for roughly 600 years by this point (1400's-2000).

The second thing is that there is a Cairn there which... Werewolves I guess.

There was a third section which started talking about the Ars Goetia and how that could also relate back to Occam's sorcery but I cut it.

We can continue seeing Matilda be aggressive and defensive, we can also see her hands become visibly claw shaped when agitated:

Foreshadowing is-

Even while locked up, Matilda continues to direct attention towards both Spit and Git. Note how the episode consistently draws attention towards her, being the only non hunter who has more than a few lines (Non hunters being Spit, Git, Amanda, Matilda) and being the only one to directly point blame at any single person.

The time out box is back and with a full clear view of the symbol on the side.

The first thing I thought was mercury, due to the crescent shaped open top and the crossed centre line, however most depict mercury having a full circle and half stacked on top.

Then I realised that it was the symbol for the magic sphere of Matter. I then also found where/what the symbol properly was.

The fourth image lists the symbol as "amalgam", but oddly enough both figures 1 and 3 disagree with fig. 4 and with each other as to what the proper symbol for amalgam is.

Alchemy is weird like that sometimes, anyways I spent way too long on this moving on.

Referring to spit, the obvious odd behaviour he displayed throughout the last episode.

Funnily enough, this can be explained through the excuse Git gave before, his Ritalin (ADHD medication) wearing off. For those unaware, there is a side effect of prescriptions stimulants, specifically when they are wearing off, in which one becomes extremely tired, irritable, agitated, hungry, or anxious when their medication runs out of their system. This can be worse with children or those with comorbid mental health problems such as anxiety or depressive disorders; crashing or rebounding in extreme cases, like seen with Spit, can be a sign that the dosage of medication is wrong (too high), or simply that your body doesn't vibe with the stimulant, in which case you should consult your psychiatrist and change medications. Speaking from experience, it's never fun to crashland from being relatively normal into being a prick.

Uh considering that Git also has a nicotine dependency (seen through his desperation for getting his smokes back), I can't help but wonder what substance Brokham is using. Honestly looking at him? Anabolic Steriods.

Which is to say that... uh. Spit goes in the box.

Ok so I want to let HTP be its own thing for the most part but there is a 0% chance this isn't an intentional reference so i'll note it down:

these two paintings that mark the archive: the left is a reference to Ephrael Stern, a Sister of Battle known as the "Thrice Born" or "Daemonifuge". We can see this from the fact that she has the same blue lipstick and a cross-tattoo on the same areas as her TTS depiction.

For similar, design correlated reasons, it is safe to assume that the portrait on the right is inspired by Aurelia Malys of the Dark Eldar, whose TTS portrayal is below:

There's probably some sort of foreshadowing going on here related to Markus seeking entrance to the Archives, Magnus seeking the Black Library, and Ephrael being in the Library for most of TTS.

final note about the door, I cannot be bothered to try and find the meaning of the alchemical symbols on the door but they are there and unimportant if anyone wants to check it out.

"Oculus Empyrean".

When I was first watching this episode, I misheard this as "Oculus Imperium" and got very confused because that would mean "Eye control(er)" (or more strictly it would be "Eye's control")

Oculus Empyrean (sort of) translates into "Eye of Heaven". The "Sort of" comes from the fact that Empyrean comes from medieval latin/early middle english, and also because of inflection.

Taking Oculus Empyrean at face value means "Eye Heaven" (unless my Latin is finally slipping as I go senile). This is because both Oculus and Empyrean are in the nominative case.

For non inflection-language speakers: The nominative case is used when a noun is the subject of an active verb, eg.

"The Ball was kicked into a tree" where "The Ball" is the nominative noun.

"Good Girl" for example would have nominative singular Puella (girl) and genitive singular version of Bonum, Boni, (Good) to create the phrase "Boni Puella".

However, that being said, unless listing nouns (the door, the wall, the shelf, and....-) or making a direct relation between two nouns (Jon is a farmer = Jon agricola est), I don't remember a case for multiple nominative inflections in a row; This is why it is more accurately translated to just Eye Heaven.

To actually write "The eye of heaven" in Latin, inflect both Eye and Heaven in the genitive case to indicate a relation between the two (as neither noun is the subject of a verb):

Oculi caeli

(I just swapped Empyrean for Caelum because they both mean heaven) (also, if you check this on google translate, due to Oculi being both the nominative plural, and the genitive singular of Oculus (as is the case for second declination nouns) it will probably translate as "eyes(plural) of heaven")

Ok so back on the eye real quick

This isn't an alchemical symbol, believe me, I've done multiple hours of research about alchemy today alone (if I had a nickel for every time I researched alchemy in depth for a media series I would have three nickels-)

the closest I could find in any of my sources was

Attramentum Vitriolum (Black vitriol), which lacks the central dot, and Auripigment (Arsenic Sulphide, literal translation is "gold coloured"), which lacks the central dot and is tilted to 45%

We can see here that the eye projects some sort of "red beam" from its... iris? I guess? which then connects into Markus'.

The red beam may relate back to the concept of the Empyrean. We've had our alchemy lessons, we've had latin lessons, time for a mythology lesson for an esotericism trifecta.

Beforehand, when I said that Empyreum means Heaven, I wasn't lying, just simplifying. The Empyrean, in ancient european myth, is the heavens beyond our terrestrial spheres; the empyrean referred to the spheres of existence permeated and constructed from, the element of Aether, the fifth element.

This may explain the symbol of the eye itself, having 5 nodes on a cross representing the 5 elements, but that's conjecture. The important part of this potential connection to the aether is the fact that, in the 5'th century, there was an alchemical theory of "Quintessence", being a similar conceptual "fifth element" of which the heavens were made of.

Quintessence in fact literally means 5th element. Quintessence is also present in World of Darkness lore:

in essence, in Mage the Ascension, Quintessence is basically the fabric of reality. The entire tapestry of reality, all things within, are made of quintessence.

I've already gone on too many tangents so i'm stopping myself from going deeper into Mage.

Technically one could interpret the boxes with circles inside them as being the sign for urine.

Update because I'm dumb:

as people have pointed out, these symbols are Hunter marks, symbols used by and recognisable to Imbued (mildly supernatural hunters).

In my defence, I'm not a hunter, so I wouldn't know.

The three symbols seen are "imbued" (on the eye), Danger (the rectangle one) and "Puppet" (Triangle)

in the ensuing fight, D is fairly easily overpowered, gains a large neck gash from claw marks, and cuts off matilda's left arm

Remold also shoots with his... cane gun? a phosphorus bullet. Phosphorus is known for like one main thing and it is that it burns like crazy, hence why "no vampire could survive that"

I don't think that the reactions of each cast member are meant to actually reflect their willpower scores, except for Git and Spit who totally fit willpower 1.

That being said, time to organise each reaction into the different delirium reactions/willpower's:

Note how Grimal is strong enough to scratch into the tiling of the walls out of sheer fright.

That being said, every character in this scene, including D and Remould (which is why I'm saying that this probably doesn't fully reflect accurate stats) takes little to no action for this first section.

Also, immediately after we see the two elders, both clearly afraid, but still maintaining composure and fighting smart, think back to what D said back in the first audiolog:

"Trust your wits, not your fists"

probably somewhere around 9-10 range. 10 is defined as no reaction, and both are clearly afraid of the situation, but no matter your will, a werewolf running at you is scary.

Willpower 4, the berzerk reaction. As D put it "some may attack with extreme vigour"

In this scene here, we can hear the wound of the knife hissing after it has cut: either this is the knife "enchanted with death magicks" from the Guy Chapman audiolog, or the knife is made of silver. Either way this is called aggravated damage. Unless they changed something in W5 i've not played it.

Also this is probably just like a moth spirit or something, potentially this could be that one auspice that allows you to transport something from the umbra at will? unlikely though

Willpower.... 10? I don't think that this was an uncalculated action, I just think Markus is bad at math and doesn't know the strength of a werewolf.

I mean he had some of the shortest time between sight and thought out action, so at the very least a 7 (afraid but rational).

Also STAKE JACKET IS THE BEST IDEA.

We can assume that these are the spirits that Tilda (who from this point forward I will refer to as Tl;dr) has gifts from. Can't say which gifts, hard to say most things about spirits in general, so yeah.

in Audiolog one, we discussed: Vampires/Ghouls (which we have fought and met) Werewolves (just now fighting) (specifically Black Shuck) Witches/mages (Potentially seen?) Ghosts (wraiths); (Potentially seen?).

The mention of wizards was a specific tale of a witch, which remains unseen, and the "ghost" was that one with the well.

This marks the first named foreshadowed character appearing except for the fiddler/monk at the end of episode one.

Willpower 4: berzerk.

seems the spirit's name is Jambles? even more terrifying, the spirit might be french.

A pedant's overview of the new Limbus Trailer

Ok so We're going over the new guy first, and then the new event EGO and IDs.

Hohenheim:

SO before who he's actually based on, insert a joke here about FMA or something (I haven't watched it idk)

So Hohenheim is most likely based on Paracelsus, or Theophrastus von Hohenheim, a renaissance philosopher, physician, and alchemist, known for his contributions to toxicology, being credited for the phrase "The dose makes the poison" (with his original phrase being "All things are poison, and nothing is without poison")

The fact that he is a researcher is what leads me to thinking this, alongside the toxicology potentially relating to the mushroom shapes on his coat in the trailer; There is also the relation to Lobotomy Corp in Paracelsus' relation to esotericism, notably alchemy, due to the relation that he takes to EGO and abnormalities, and therefore to Carl Jung's writings, which often relate alchemy to individuation.

This is also in all likelyhood the reason that he is in charge of comparing our sinners pre and post employment states, as this game, and the others PM has made before it, all relate to psychological growth and individuation (Read Faust post by @juyendraws for more information)

To explain how alchemy relates to Individuation, I get to explain some things relating to the alchemy I learned a long time ago for Noita-related reasons:

The most important stage is of course the first, as until something is begun it cannot continue, the first stage of the philosophers stone, and of individuation, being Nigredo.

Nigredo (Blackening):

Carl Jung compared this to the point at which one becomes increasingly aware of their shadow (characteristics), their wider self, and their persona.

....I am coming to a realisation while writing this... The colour black so closely linked to one's persona...

After one becomes aware of their persona, and thus more aware of their repressed self and shadow; In the darkest time, when "there seems no way forward" is the Nigredo, setting the stage for development into the latter stages of development.

In essence this is the same structure that Project Moon uses for EGO manifestation and distortion. I don't wish to bore too much regarding psychology, so I'll leave it at stating that the identification of the persona and integration of the shadow both act as important moments in the EGO and distortion phenomenon; "EGO is to the persona as Distortion is to the shadow" - Juyen

The latter stages matter somewhat less, Albedo (whitening) relates most prominently to the Anima/Animus (which also holds strong relation to the distortion phenomenon see here for some elaboration); Citrinas (yellowness) is the prominence of the "Elder" archetype in ones maturity (also known as: The Wise old man/woman; The Hermit; The wizard; or The senex (Latin for "Old man)); and finally Rubedo (red), signaling the complete and whole self.

The four stages are most commonly understood in relation to death/despair/melancholy (Nigredo); Purification and refinement, whiteness, and the light (Albedo); Sunlight, awakening (Citrinas); and blood, completion (Rubedo).

I learned so fucking much alchemy like 3-4 years ago, and this is the first time that i've ever been able to put it to any actual use...

Anyhows.

This ID is probably rupture, almost certainly healing, all that stuff.

The most interesting thing to this ID to me is this counter skill (seen right before the screenshot); evidently the counter will grant some form of aggro, seen on the border, potentially forcing an enemy to target him similar to how Faelantern's "Charm" works? (Could also potentially fix his or the enemies speed to 1, maybe that's why the speed values are blurred?)

Notably, he seems to have some sort of self destruct. Perhaps he dies upon being hit with this charm which cancels the pending attacks?

Also (I might just be going insane) But im 90% sure that those are all sin affinity icons, so potentially he will provide a decent few resources on death.

Anyways looks something like 1: 2 coins blunt. 2: 1 Coin pierce. 3: 3 Coins blunt. Counter(?): 1 Coin Blunt

Faust:

Ok so Faust

Burn is obvious, wrath affinity resonance is likely due to the nature of its EGO gift and Boss Fight; Potentially may have a mechanic similar to the "embers" "shimmering embers" and "Spark" effects that the boss fight possesses. Considering that she seems to have an alternate skill 1 and a skill 4 she may use ember as a sort of "pseudo-charge". I personally hope (as someone who has ran burn since season 1 (grand total of 4 burn ID)) that she has something somewhat similar to Black Flame

Anyways: S1: 2 Coins (all of the skills look somewhere between slash and blunt, I dearly hope that we get more slash but eh) s1 (alt): 3 Coins slash. s2: 3 coins slash s3/4: 3 Coins Blunt.

also she seems to explode in skill 4 so that's now a fourth way for an ID to kill itself. (Devyat Ids, Shi Heathcliff, Magic Bullet Outis EGO, Flossom Faust).

Thoracalgia Ryoshu:

behold, a slash EGO.

So I have MANY things to note about this EGO.

the first, Thoracalgia is the fancy way of saying chest pain basically. This alongside the fact that we see the skull in the trailer means that it's basically confirmed that this EGO belongs to "Sleeping bag of olden days" (Seen below)

Which is the Abnormality that gives the nebuliser EGO gift, which tracks considering the fact that it has chest pain. (A nebuliser is another name for an Inhaler)

it makes sense for Ryoshu to get this EGO, she was actually one of the two that I predicted would get this, however I only got that guess half right as Gregor did not get one. The abnormality is about chronic suffering and extended/endless pains (Ryoshu being the grief side of the metaphor while Gregor being the chronic Illness side).

Another interesting note, the background that we see in the EGO skill animation... It's a hospital.

This is interesting to note because there are three abnormalities closely tied to the hospital, "Nymph" "Centaur" and "Hydra", all based on creatures from Greek mythology, the first two of which were featured in The Odyssey and (alongside the cyclops) are assumed to be the Battle Pass EGO for Outis' canto. This is an interesting note because I can't think of any mythological creature that this could be related to?

before I continue onto the ID I just want to gush over this artwork, came across my dash and it's just so fucking pretty

KK Heathcliff:

Skill 1 (wrath):

2 coins slashing. By default this skill rolls fairly high, especially for a skill 1 that has coin power conditionals: Without any bleed on the enemy this skill rolls for 11 (same base max as Blade Lineage Meursault).

This skill gains up to 2 coin power rolling for 15 (higher than BL meur).

This skill also gains defence power up (on the following turn) due to his counter (Rules of the backstreets) being a major part of his kit. this 2 defence power can only be gained once per turn however.

This skill inflicts 2 bleed without outside effects, however there are several outside effects which will also be discussed later.

Skill 2 (Pride):

2 coins slashing, pride affinity. By default this skill can roll for up to 16, rolling up to 20 with the same coin power conditional as skill 1 (+1 coin power for every 6 bleed on target (max 2)).

This skill also gains defence power up next turn, however only 1 power rather than 2.

This skill can inflict 2 bleed and +2 bleed count without outside buffs, alongside Slash Fragility and attack power down (however only 2 attack power down may be applied assuming this skill is used multiple times per turn).

Skill 3 (Lust):

3 coins, +5 offence level, slashing, attack weight 1. This skill rolls for 17 on its own, with the exact same coin power conditional as his skill 1/2, allowing this skill to roll up to 23.

This skill will grant him defence level on use, alongside "Cumulus wall" on combat start. Cumulus wall was the defence page of Yang from the Library of Ruina Kurokumo Clan encounter. Cumulus is also a type of cloud, fitting with the Kurokumo (romanisation of "Black Cloud") thematic). Cumulus Wall is basically a glorified defence final power boost, which also affects the function of his counter skill, Rules of the Backstreets.

Oh also on clash win he gains "Dark Cloud Blade" which is KK clan slash power up, as well as a free 1 bleed on hit with slash skills. It comes from passive effects outside of this skill.

The first two coins have similar "on hit" effects to BL Don (also known as Fujiyoshi Don) skill 3 "Fare Thee Well", dealing 10% more damage on the final coin. This effect is also present on other skills in the game but I just wanted to type the words Fujiyoshi Don.

These first coin(s) inflict 2 bleed potency and 1 slash fragility respectively alongside this.

The final coin deals 10% more damage for every negative effect on the target of this skill. On his own, Heathcliff is able to inflict 4 types of negative effects through his skills, gandering him 40% increased damage (the max increase is 100%). Combining all the various debuffs that the Kurokumo Clan IDs have access to:

Offence Level Down (Ryoshu, Gregor, Ishmael, Heathcliff) Plus Coin Drop (Gregor) Slash Fragility (Ishmael, Heathcliff) Fragile (Ishmael) Paralysis (Ryoshu, Hong Lou) Attack Power Down (Heathcliff) Damage Down (Ryoshu) Fucking Nothing (except for bleed) (Rodion) Bleed (all)

this skill can gain up to 80% damage increase.

Clashable Counter (Lust) :

So, first effect to note, this skill is buffed greatly if KK Ishmael is deployed and present on the field. This effect converts the coin(s) into unbreakable and grants +4 final power on clash lose. This skill ALSO deals more damage per negative effect on the target, which as we mentioned, assuming only KK ID and no EGO, can grant up to 80% of its max 100%.

This counter has 1 coin that has 2 "on hit: reuse" effects. The first "reuse" effect is triggered by Dark Cloud Blade, the second is triggered by "Battle Ready" (gained through costless passive). That being said, if he has Cumulus Wall, he will always activate both reuses.

This counter can roll up to 20 (for attacking, when clashing it rolls for 9 + Defence Power Up + 1 (Cumulus Wall)), which is not the highest counter skill in the KK clan, so I guess that Rodion has exactly ONE thing going for her.

I still don't like Rodion( or her KK ID).

Passive(s):

When a KK clan Ally dies, gain slash power up. If/when 3 KK allies die, gain the "Battle ready" effect

Which also allows him to retrigger his counter a second time if he doesn't have the Cumulus Wall effect.

Dark Cloud Blade:

When there are 2 or more allied KK clan ID (self inclusive) gain 1 "Dark Cloud Blade"

When attacking enemies that are/were max HP when the attack started, or who used defence skills this round, deal +10% more damage.

When an enemy deals attack damage to an ally, use skill 1 against the attacker for free (once per turn). If the allies HP is below 25% after the attack, or if they die, instead use Rules of the Backstreets against the attacker (counting as an attack skill, meaning that the defence level up from the rest of his kit. I assume this is intentional?)

I also want to point out for a moment that the actual passive says "If the enemy killed an other ally" which is interesting. I can't be bothered to report it because it's also kinda funny.

Overall:

This ID is not bad in the slightest from what I can see, the only problem being that he very much likes to have KK clan allies (not so much as the next ID), which are notoriously not very good.

Dark Cloud Blade grants slash power up, Ryoshu is only pierce damage. The new IDs (and Ryoshu) are somewhat able to inflict reliable bleed count; Hong Lou cannot reuse his skill 2's coins if the enemies reliably have bleed. Rodion has poise? Also inflicts no kinds of debuff other than bleed.

The only true benefit I can see from this is the fact that, due to most KK ID being quite bad, it is decently easy to activate the Battle Ready passive on Heathcliff.

That being said, I think that this ID is quite alright, held down by the fact that season 1 happened.

Yeah considering that the artwork primarily breaks the sections apart more clearly (visually speaking) this one should work.

Kurokumo Clan Captain Ishmael:

shoutout to the girl in my dash who is commissioning "art" of this ID I guess, you go girl.

all of KK ishmael's ID's skills deals 10% more damage for every negative effect, the same effect as Heathcliff's skill 3 and counter, however with different maximum increases.

This ID also aims to be somewhat the mirror to BL Meursault, buffing Kurokumo IDs, and buffing Kurokumo IDs even more when you bring all 6 of them to the fight.

To do this she has a similar passive, applying a buff to adjacent KK allies, or to all KK allies with 4 (lust) resonance.

The effect in question is "Dark Cloud":

Convert all basic skill coins to unbreakable. All of the affected coins inflict +1 of all bleed effects. This unit cannot be staggered from damage this turn. On clash lose, this units skills gain +3 base power.

This is actually quite good considering that I don't trust any of my Kurokumo IDs released in season 1 (except for Ryoshu kind of? She's alright).

This conversion to unbreakable coins actually is very useful considering that we want these IDs to die for the "Battle Ready" passive, which Ishmael also possesses.

Now the funniest thing about this passive is that Kurokumo Hong Lou's skill 3 can roll for the same amount when losing the clash with this effect.

Skill 1 (envy):

This skill rolls the exact same as Heathcliff's skill 1, 11 without conditionals, 15 with.

as mentioned, this ID has the same +10% damage per negative effect as Heathcliff's skill 3; this one is capped at 30% rather than 100% increased damage.

Also this skill inflicts 3 bleed overall (without outside sources) and 1 offense level down.

Skill 2 (pride):

This skill rolls... the exact same as Heathcliff's skill 2. I don't know why they've made it this way but it is interesting at the very least.

This is to say that she rolls 16 base and 20 with full conditionals.

the +10% buff is capped at +50% on this skill.

On combat start: apply 2 damage up to the 2 other fastest KK allies (once per turn). If there are 6 KK "units" (note that it checks for units, not allies, meaning that it should proc with enemy units as well. The other buff effects specify "Identities" or "Allies" ), apply 4 damage up to 5 allies instead.

Same bleed infliction as Heathcliff, 2, +2 bleed and bleed count.

The first coin inflicts slash fragility, however if there are 6 KK "UNITS" inflict 2 fragile (once per turn). The second coin then gains slash power up the following turn, twice per turn at max.

INK OVER:

This skill ALSO rolls the exact same as Heathcliff, 17 at base and 23 with the coin power conditional

+2 Bleed count +3 bleed on the first and second coin respectively.

The third coin has the same +10% damage per unique negative effect, once again maxing out at 100%

This coin also has an effect to activate bleed on the target, three times to be specific, which consumes 3 bleed count meaning that this skill is still very bleed-count negative.

Evade:

for some reason the evade is called "Scattering slash" despite not being a slash really?

Anyways it rolls for 14 at base, grants 1 protection (which is weird, it's an evade so you're probably shouldn't be planning around getting hit). this also grants up to 8 Allied Kurokumo ID (2+highest resonance) +2 defence power up this turn.

we already went over the passive at the start, being the Battle Ready effect for ally deaths and the Dark Cloud effect on allies being the proper passive. She also shares the "if there are two or more KK allies including self gain Dark Cloud blade" so she gains +1 slashing power for free

A Pedantic Overview of Burn in Limbus Company

This is the start of a series I'm going to be doing where I go over each major status effect, the ID and EGO that use it, and any other things I thought I might want to mention, Burn is first because it's Wrath. Affinity and because its the first listed in MD.

Burn: overview:

Burn is, in terms of regular gameplay (non mirror dungeon), bad. Im saying this as someone who really likes burn even without EGO Gifts; 

Burn is the only status which only lowers count at the end of round, with Tremor having so many “trigger tremor burst; then reduce count by one” that it’s standard by this point; Burn is also the only status effect which is wholly incapable of dealing damage multiple times per turn, excluding the usage of two specific ID’s.

Burn struggles somewhat with the sustain of Count and Potency, as a majority of ID’s (burn doesnt have EGO) only apply one or the other, meaning that unless it is a focused encounter or an encounter against a single target (which is the kind of battle where burn deals the least damage due to being capped at 99 once per turn) it is difficult to maintain/stack burn between rounds.

Other statuses have the same struggle of maintaining count, especially due to other statuses triggering multiple times per turn, however it is less important on these other statuses as, because of its hard limit on damage, its ideal to maintain burn potency at max otherwise you get little value.

The other method which different statuses are able to remedy their issues with count is through EGO skills, notably AEDD Gregor for rupture, Cavernous Wailing Hong lu and Everlasting Faust for Tremor, and Rime Shank Rodion for Sinking: the problem lies in the fact that there are no good burn EGO, and that no Burn EGO are able to apply count with the exception of Soup Don, who does not have a burn ID.

Burn EGO Worth Using:

Ishmael’s Ardor Blossom Star

virtually the only decent Burn EGO in my opinion,

ABS rolls a 41 on a Wrath-Pierce affinity coin. This EGO has one of the highest awakening roll of any ego, a positive offence level (+3) and raises stagger threshold by % of damage done (counting for all damage done, whilst also being multi target meaning it raises a fucktonne) 

Ishmael’s other Burn EGO, Capote, applies wrath fragility and provides Wrath damage up. 

Rodion’s Burn ID applies Wrath damage up to different allies. 

Rodion’s Burn EGO also applies wrath Fragility to enemies.

Due to all of the different buffs which Wrath Affinity receives when running a burn team, this EGO becomes a force of destruction when used in a Burn team.

Second off is Rodion’s Aforementioned Burn EGO, Fourth Match Flame.

This is one of the only negative coin awakening EGO skills in the game. It rolls a 38 at highest, and a 20 on heads. There isnt much of note about this EGO other than what was already said of it applying Wrath Fragility. Just make sure to overclock the EGO when using it because the on-hit effects are the same but it consumes 1.5x sanity meaning you get a higher roll on average.

Capote Meursault:

I actually had to go edit a prior section because i forgot about this EGO; Capote Sault rolls for 45 at highest, applies tremor by the burn potency (which is notably very easy to stack), triggers tremor burst, and applies burn count if the enemy is staggered.

This EGO, rather than applying Group buffs, applies wrath/Blunt buffs to meursault himself next turn. As his burn ID does not have a wrath+blunt skill other than EGO this is slightly less useful than it could be.

The usage of this EGO is debatable for one main reason. It occupies the He slot, the other EGO MSault has in this slot is Persuence, which is the most consistent healing EGO that the Burn team has access to.

Pursuance requires sloth and gloom, which are slightly uncommon in burn teams, however there is not particularly high demand for those resources in a Burn team as well, meaning you can fairly consistently fuel this EGO skill for usage. If you enjoy your ID’s living, it is typically advised to use Persuence over Capote.

This concludes the list of good burn EGO.

Bad burn EGO:

All of the rest of them.

Yi Sang 4th Match Flame:

This EGO rolls a 20 at highest, only applies 10 burn at highest, and belongs to a sinner who does not have a burn ID.

9:2 Faust:

This EGO has medium-high rolls, however it consumes up to 20 of the target’s burn for same turn Defense level down, belongs to a Burn-less sinner (sort of) and consumes Gluttony, which is the least common affinity within a burn team, as there is only 1 ID who can produce it.

Lifetime Stew Don Qi:

Sinner without Burn ID, Mediocre rolls. The only redeeming quality of this EGO is the fact that lust resources are abundant in a Burn team meaning you can source it easily, the downside is that the passive is actively detrimental for the same reason; The passive converts resources of random sin affinities into the most common skill affinity of the Status.

Fourth Match Flame Ryoshu:

While not bad like the other’s mentioned, this EGO isn’t explicitly good either.

At UT4 it deals 100% more damage at 20 burn potency, and the corrosion variant applies the buffs regardless of wether the EGO kill’s. 

Note that the passive of this EGO is non existent for 3 rounds at a time in most battles, however most EGO passives in the game are either extremely good or extremely bad.

Forest for the flames is technically a burn EGO i guess.

Ryoshu base EGO is decent amongst Zayin EGO, rolls for 28, and applies 2 fragile next turn on heads hit, alongside having one of the coolest animations in the game (among the base ego at least)

No. 

WHY ARE YOU BUYING EGO AT THE SOUP STORE?

9:2 Sinclair:

This EGO is the most recently released Negative coin on awakening EGO in the game. It is also not good. 

The EGO applies 4 burn unless enemies have zero burn, in which case it applies 8.

On a tails hit (rolling 26), if the enemies have 10 burn apply mediocre debuffs for next turn.

On corrosion, which is also a negative coin, meaning that it’s better by default, it instead applies lust fragility, which is decent however not particularly useful as the highest damage effect’s and skills of burn are Wrath Affinity.

Honorary mentions/generally good EGO;

There are two (2) different EGO for this section, they aren't strictly burn based EGO however they compliment the team well.

Both of these EGO are however the same type, resonance based EGO: Holiday outis and Garden of Thorns Gregor.

Both of these are the same functional idea so they wont get a separate section for each of them, the main idea is that they are able to buff lust and wrath specifically efficiently which are the two most common burn affinities; as both apply damage and/or power up for the highest resonance, with holiday being a wrath affinity skill and Garden of Thorns being Lust (and requiring a full lust lineup of skills for max value (6+ A resonance))

 Burn ID’s: a history, and also me whining a little bit:

Burn is among the status effects with the least amount of units in the game, note that im not saying anything definitively because im not fucking counting each status effects units.

Also this history section is not going to be super specific, mostly going off anything notable that i can remember because nobody keeps a timeline of everything limbus, note to self, make Cogitopedia page of Limbus release timeline.

On launch burn was starved in the same manner that literally every status effect was back then; 2 Ein Sof ID’s (00 ids)and ~5 EGO skills, excluding 4mf Yi Sang because I am biassed.

The IDs being Liu (6) Meursault and Gregor, and the EGO being Ardor Blossom Star, Forest for The Flames, and the three 4MF that i am willing to acknowledge.

Like all status effects on launch, burn was utterly terrible; With the above listed ID’s/EGO, there was a grand total of 1 way to apply burn count, being 6 Meursault skill 3; None of the other mentioned apply count, meaning that it was nigh impossible to stack for any significant damage.

Once again i want to note that none of the status effects were good on launch for a decent while, with the exception of charge which had a grand total of 2 good units, which was honestly 2 more than any other status.

The first significant release was 6 Hong Lu, also known as 0606 and Hong Liu, who added two more ways of applying burn count, however his Potency application was non existent, he was also the first, and for a long time to follow, the only way of gaining Gloom on a burn team.

Back during this time, mirror dungeons worked a lot differently, but i'm not going onto that tangent today, the main reason i'm bringing this up is as a transition to the Krooming Faust herself, who was uncontested as the best non launch ID at least until the next paragraph;

Because there was not feasible way to run a full burn team, and because of mechanics i'm not explaining, she was extremely good for mirror dungeon if you for some godforsaken reason planned on running a team that wasn't just brute force, as an additional note, the only good Burn EGO at the time was Fiery Down, which meant that Kraust was able to apply burn potency for 9 damage. woohoo

No. I refuse.

Following [Redacted], came the Chimken evemnt. 

From this event came Sinclair's second worst sin, and Don’s Lifetime Stew, which actually (at the time) wasn't half bad.

Though neither of these are actually notable there are 2 reasons I'm bringing up the chimken event. The first is the EGO gift received in the dungeon, which is now accessible from the floor pack of the same name, which works as Fiery Down except for burn count, which made burn downright usable for that event; the second point is linked to this EGO gift as well, with the funniest interaction of any EGO gift: Lifetime stew sinclair, when applying burn to allies, will apply EGO gifts the same as it would enemies, so every time you used the EGO, you risked dealing 50 damage to your IDs rather than healing them.

Season 2 - Reminiscence:

Upon the launch of season 2, we got 2 more burn EGO, (i know we didn't technically get them “On launch” for the season, nobody likes a pedant, i would know); the Capote EGO, bringing our grand total up to 10, which was, if memory serves correct, the highest amount of EGO for any status effect at the time, in order to balance this out, we would only get 1 more burn ID this season.

As for the Capote EGO themselves, Ishmael’s wasnt the greatest, but anything is better than a negative coin awakening meaning that it was still better than its competition; the main objective of burn isnt to deal damage through skills, meaning that the wrath synergy didnt matter as much as it does today, with all of the value that Philip and 6 Rodion bring from resonance.

Capote Meursault is not used and i already talked about it in the EGO section, Pursuance is better, as well as easier to fuel because we were able to fill slots with resources we needed. 

Later that season, in order to match her having 2 Burn EGO, ishmael gained a burn ID, as 6 ishmael. 

She was the first decent burn ID, and the first ayin (000) id. She was able to apply burn and burn count, and she did this without having a functional passive until this season… 

That's the entirety of season 2… this is why I chose burn to start with, because there's hardly anything to talk about.

Season 3 - Bon Voyage:

This season's battle pass brought us two EGO, 12 now total, and there is no reason to talk about 9:2 because they aren't good.

Next up is Walpurgisnacht, with the introduction of Bullet Outis, the first time that burn was usable outside of mirror dungeon, as Glimpse of flame was available (although much rarer than today), as she was, and still is, the only way to make burn deal its potency as damage multiple times in a turn, although with the caveat that she needs to accumulate Bullets.

There was a blank period for a bit and just so that the timeline isn't that jarring i'm adding this line here.

The next release was the two 6 ID’s, 6 Rodion and Ryoshu: Ryoshu was the first source of Gluttony resources, and the first source of slashing damage outside of EGO skills.

Rodion is good, she buffs wrath, applies decent count and decent potency, and is able to act as a very good dps. For a very short period of time, and i mean like a week, when the Ring ID's were released they counted as ID's which apply all status effects; Due to the addition of the Ring ID's, it was possible to activate both Soothe the Dead, and Bloody Mist at the same time with the use of Ring ID's, Captain Ishmael, [No], a burn ID of choice, and a bleed ID of choice. in the week following the Ring ID's were changed as to only count for Bleed, and to not count as any other status effects.

Philip Sinclair rolls a 40. 

Burn Team concepts:

Generally, if you plan on running a burn team, the first thing you should consider other than a psych evaluation, is saving Lunacy and free pulls for Walpurgis event periods, as the two most valuable units for burn teams are both 000’s from said banner; Of course the two ID’s being Philip Sinclair, and Magic Bullet Outis.

Ideally you are able to first and second slot these two ID’s into your team: Philip Sinclair is able to apply +6 burn count on skill 2, whilst having the highest rolls of any other Burn ID. He is also incredibly useful to have skill slots on as his skill 3 heals bonus sanity on clash win, meaning he becomes more useful in a fight faster than other ID’s are able to.

Other Than 06 Ryoshu, Philip Sinclair is the only source of slashing damage in a full burn team outside of EGO*, meaning that slotting him first will gain additional value compared to other ID’s in many situations. 

Additionally, in terms of EGO resources, Philip Sinclair was the first Burn ID since Hong Liu to have Gloom affinity skills, and the first ID since Liu Ishmael to have envy skills.

As for EGO you can use on Sinclair, Impending day gives more value than Lifetime Stew, as it allows for easier wrath resonance, more damage type coverage as Philip has no Blunt in his kit, and does not immolate your teammates.

Branch of knowledge is incredibly hard to fuel in a burn team, as only 3/36 of the teams skills are Gluttony affinity, and said skills belonging to one specific ID. 

With that being said, due to the nature of Philip Sinclair being on neutral-positive sanity regularly, the Branch of Knowledge passive is more useful than it would be on other ID’s who plan on remaining at 45 SP; 

The other option is Blubberbuble, who is slightly easier to fuel, and gives survivability to your team; due to Faust lacking a Burn ID, and the fact that there are the same amount of sloth skills as gluttony, Burn as a team lacks a large amount of sustain, as pursuance requires sloth resources, Fluid sack is unavailable, and Lantern (sinclair) requires Gluttony.

See note above about what HE to take. The answer is still Lantern, never take 9:2.

Magic Bullet Outis is the second cornerstone ID of the Status effect, enabling Burn to deal damage multiple times per turn. With her being the only method of dealing multiple times your burn in a turn, its highly recommended that you have this ID for a burn team.

There aren't many notes of what EGO to take on this ID, the main notes are that half of her skills, + defence being pride allows for the fueling of Suffering Becomes Existence, as long as you have enough Sloth resources, and that Holiday allows for easier Wrath resonance.

The Final highly important ID is Liu Rodion, who, alongside her 4th match flame EGO, allows for wrath resonance to become highly potent, applying Wrath damage up and Wrath fragility across the team and enemies.

Bringing Rodion is your highest reliable source of Pierce damage, as 1/6 of Outis skills are pierce, with the same ratio for Philip, however his skill 3 becomes skill 4 during passive, which is a Slash skill.

Rodion is the closest thing that we can get to Glimpse of flames outside of mirror dungeon, with dealing wrath damage based on potency…. With a max of 30. She additionally is the only source of Pride affinity if you lack Magic Bullet.

Liu Gregor (Sloth Resources. Garden of Thorns EGO useful for Wrath or Lust Resonance)

Support Passives//Non-Burn ID's:

The most notable ID which can be used in lieu of a burn ID is The One Who Grips Faust; Due to almost all burn ID's possessing a lust affinity skill, it is incredibly easy to activate her whistles passive, allowing your units to gain SP much faster. this brings us onto the next main idea which you can use for support passives: Sanity Maxxing: due to how Philip Sinclair works, if you get as many sanity passives as possible stacked on top of each other, you can keep him in EGO state for an absurd amount of time; Other than Grip Faust, the best SP passives are: Ring Yi Sang, Base Yi Sang, and Base Hong Lu. You can also technically use Captain Ishmael who is, on a technicality, a burn ID. This is here just to cover all my bases. Ring ID's have wrath and lust affinities, and benefit from the burn on target, making them viable substitute ID's

Oh god its time for Tremor: An overview of Tremor in Limbus Company:

Tremor is the Sloth affinity Core status effect within limbus company. Tremor, when burst, is able to raise the stagger threshold's of the target. 

Several Identities apply Tremor count to self through their skills, which may be spent for certain skill effects in a manner similar to Charge - Cogitopedia: Status Effects (limbus)

Tremor as of Time Killing Time, has by far the most complexity of any status effect. Not only is it the only status which functions off of a separate effect, being tremor burst, to function, it also has multiple tremor types, or states as i call them, and fucking superpositioning??

Ok so how the fuck does tremor work then?

Tremor, as all core status effects do (charge has it as cosmetic), consists of a potency and count; Several ID's have an effect called Tremor Burst, when tremor is burst on a target, you raise the stagger threshold by the potency; Tremor burst, on its own, does not lower Tremor count, however many tremor unit's reduce the count with skill effects upon bursting it.

Tremor states, introduced with purple (decay) at the end of season 3, convert all tremor count and potency into a different type; While basic tremor does not have any special effects, all other tremor types interact with the potency and/or count for unique effects.

If, through some means, tremor is applied as a next turn effect, it will share the state type as currently applied, and change alongside it; Next turn tremor is a method of maintaining the same Tremor state as, even if the Tremor currently on the target expires at end turn, the next turn Tremor will keep the same state.

Tremor entanglement is combining multiple tremor states into one, under the label of 'Tremor - Superposition'; If a skill effect attempts to convert the entangled tremor, the effect is changed instead to entanglement, rather than conversion, meaning that all tremor types are able to be active at once, as long as the tremor was converted to Superpositioning before the skills which apply conversion. At the end of the round, Tremor - Superposition will be converted to basic tremor, losing all tremor types applied.

A History of Tremor:

Launch and season 1:

Tremor was the least useful status effect on launch in limbus, which was quite odd as 3 different base sinners were Tremor units - Ishmael, Meursault and Heathcliff.

As for actual units; Tremor on launch had Lccb Ishmael, and Zwei Sinclair were the only other Tremor units on launch; Ishmael is quite effective, as she was the only method of gaining Tremor count, while also applying tremor potency, both at decent amounts. Zwei Sinclair has tremor burst on his skill 3 i guess.

There were essentially no Tremor EGO; Excluding SoD which is every status, and its alternative, Legerdemain, which is more commonly used for paralyze than tremor.

next up is Pursuance, a very ironic EGO for Meursault, which burst Tremor, and also was the best non fluid sack healing EGO

the final EGO to mention is one that wont be useful until UT4, Fluid Sack Don Quixote; This EGO was overlooked back then due to it competing with the Telepole EGO, which specifically synergized with Don's best ID at the time, W Corp cleanup. This EGO, now that Don has a good Tremor ID, and now that Fluid Sack is Multi target, is actually quite useful, but I'm going too far into the future.

Final entry for this season, as tremor was PM's least favorite for a long time, is N corp. Donqi: this ID was an odd unit, as she wanted to be somewhere in between a Bleed ID and a Tremor ID, meaning that she was somewhat lackluster at both. She is somewhat useful nowadays, as , through her passive, she is able to apply tremor count very effectively. as another note, she was the first source of gluttony for tremor excluding launch units.

Season 2 - Reminiscence:

This battle pass had the Capote EGO, both of which are better at being burn EGO than they are at being Tremor EGO. There aren't any units which share both of these status effects except the Ring ID's, meaning that there's really no reason to use these.

The Rosespanner Fixer ID's released in the first half of this season, being the first Charge-Tremor units in the game; Rosespanner Meursault, and Rosespanner Gregor, are mediocre units which are able to apply decent tremor, however theres another note about Tremor in this section; Alongside Rodion, these ID's were the first to reduce tremor on Tremor-Burst. The reason this is notable for these Units in particular is that, with the exception of Rodion this time, these units are not very effective at maintianing tremor count at all; The fact that tremor was only reduced on round end means that Past tremor units lacked Count potency to begin with.

Rosespanner Rodion was the first above average Tremor unit in the game; Rodion has a sort of hotstreak with getting either low-Average content, or Content which is considered broken, at least at the time that it was released. Rodion was able to maintain her own charge count, while also applying enough Tremor potency and count on her own for general usage.

Noting this i want to mention a problem that tremor had for a long time, which is still only half answered outside of mirror dungeon: What happens when an enemy no longer has any stagger thresholds? If an enemy ran out of stagger thresholds, there was essentially no point of having Tremor bursts, as they were purely cosmetic at that point; Because of this limitation, it was most effective to have 1 or 2 Tremor units at most, because there was no point in gaining more.

Sloshing EGO Ishmael.

Spicebush Yi Sang marks a different starting point for tremor: Discount charge. Spicebush Yi Sang was the first unit to have Tremor as a self status effect, which is consumed in the same manner as charge, a feature that ~4-5 ID's from a modern Tremor team have.

Following this are 4 more units that use this same effect:

Molar Ishmael, Outis, Yi Sang, and Sinclair:

Molar Ishmael is here as a technicality: she is a sinking unit who can technically interact with Tremor.

Molar Outis was the first REALLY GOOD Tremor unit, being the first able to deal damage through tremor bursts, and otherwise having good offence skills and level.

Yi Sang is a similar ID to Molar Outis. Rather than directly dealing damage through Tremor bursts, his passive inflicts defense level down on tremor burst, as well as through his skill 3.

Sinclair is an odd unit who i wont cover in depth as ive not the experience in using him to say, but i want to note the importance of this ID as the first in the game to interact with Self Tremor in any importance, having a conditional to burst tremor on himself; which we wont see for 2 seasons from now.

Walpurgisnacht came for the first time of this season:

Regret Faust and Meursault were two more releases able to directly deal damage from Tremor burst, Dealing Wrath damage, with Meursault's EGO dealing uncapped wrath damage.

Alongside Spicebush Yi Sang, Regret was the first multi Target skill ID.

Season 3 - Bon Voyage:

The Only EGO released this season which was Tremor Related was Effervescent corrodion. Its decent, it bursts tremor sometimes and applies both count and potency, there aren't any special interactions in the same way that other EGO have.

Lccb Assistant manager Ryoshu was released this season, and is a rate Triple-status effect unit, being Poise, Rupture and Tremor all in one. She only interacts with Tremor on skill 3, specifically becoming more useful on Crit, however she isnt very good at maintaining potency nor count for Poise, meaning that she is extremely inconsistent.

Holiday outis has tremor burst

Holiday Heathcliff

Finally comes the Tremor event-Horizon: Oufi Heathcliff; Being the introduction of Tremor states into the game, with his (currently) unique Tremor state of Decay (purple), reducing defense level roughly equivalent to 5 Fragile at 99 Potency.

Season 4 - Clear All Cathy:

This season came with 2 Tremor EGO in the battle pass: Binds Outis and Heathcliff:

Outis came with a new Tremor state, Fracture (red), which is widely considered the worst of the current states in the game; Fracture raises the Stagger Level of the target when staggered, if the potency and count add up to 20+.

If you don't know what a stagger level is you're in the same boat as most people (not me im omniscient, also ive ran tremor for a long time where its the most notable). On stagger, the enemy will take increased damage, if an enemy passes 2 or more stagger thresholds in the game, they will take further increased damage for each threshold passed.

Binds Heathcliff, while applying Tremor and bursting it as well, is not the most effective as a Tremor EGO specifically. Note once again, this is a good EGO. this is not a good Tremor EGO however.

Following this, directly before the release of Time-Killing-Time: we got the release of the Frog EGO, Cavernous Wailing Hong Lu and Sinclair.

Wailing Hong Lu introduced another new state, tremor - Reverb (Neon Yellow), which is the aforementioned answer to an enemy that can no longer be staggered, in short:

"Dead enemies dont need to be staggered"

Tremor - Reverb turns Tremor into Sloth affinity Sinking when burst, dealing damage equal to the potency, meaning that, against a sloth weak enemy, each Tremor burst can deal 198 Damage. This was the update before the introduction of Tremor - Superposition however, meaning that you couldn't use the triple Tremor burst of Binds Outis or the skill 3 of Oufi Heathcliff (which is his only form of tremor burst) for this damage. Molar outis however already has access to a triple tremor burst, which wont be surpassed for at least 2 weeks from here.

The release of Time Killing Time brought 2 ID's and 1 EGO

Yurodivy Hong Lu and Ryoshu came, being the first good tremor units to have gluttony (or at least Hong Lu is a good one).

Yurodivy Hong Lu has access to Tremor burst on 2 skills, and, most notably, Amplitude - Entanglement into Tremor - Reverb. The Release following Cavernous Wailing Hong Lu marked the point at which it was confirmed that Tremor states are not unique to different ID's and EGO. Currently, because PM hates the frog nearly as much as i do, this is the only non unique tremor state.

Yurodivy Ryoshu is the revival of starbuck, being able to assist attack with her skill 1 when an enemy is staggered, with the addition of a tremor burst to the skill 1 when activated this way.

The EGO released this event was Everlasting Faust, which, other than making me question my loyalty to carmen (wife), introduced a new Tremor state as well, Tremor - Everlasting (whiter than faust): A name that confuses me because it is the only Tremor state applied by EGO to revert at round end. Everlasting has 4 coins, each with a tremor burst, and an effect to add Tremor and Tremor potency before the attack. Tremor - Everlasting allows for each tremor burst to activate up to 2 additional times based on tremor count and on tremor potency, counting up to 50 of either for a 50% chance at max. (that was worded terribly! Great Job Literally!)

This means that Everlasting Faust, as it converts before bursting, has a Minimum of 4 bursts, and a maximum of 12. Due to it converting through Entanglement, if Tremor - Reverb was applied beforehand, against a sloth weak enemy this skill can deal up to 2376 Bonus Sloth damage, not counting the damage from the skill itself.

Other Skills that have 3 bursts are able to burst 9 Times for 1782 bonus damage from Reverb.

Following the event is taxing season:

T corp Don and Rodion were released, based on the two T corp units we fight in the event, sharing the T Corp tremor State of Tremor - Chain (Lighter blue than sinking): Which can reduce Clashing power by a max of 3.

These ID's additionaly share the effects "Borrowed Time", gaining fragile, haste, and clashing power for 2/3 turns depending on the ID; and the Effect "Time Moratorium", which stores all damage dealt to the enemy, and 2 turns after it is applied, deals 1.3x the damage stored as Sloth affinity damage. This damage is allocated to the ID which applied time Moratorium, meaning that Don or Rodion can very easily have 50% of total damage in a dungeon allocated to them.

Current date: T corp Don released like 2 weeks ago and there are likely not going to be any more different Tremor releases.

Tremor EGO:

The best Tremor EGO are:

Cavernous Wailing Hong Lu:

Though YD Hong Lu is able to apply Tremor - Reverb, he does so through Entanglement, meaning that it disappears at round end.

because of this EGO, Tremor teams are able to out damage status effects which actually deal inherent damage, especially due to the ease of stacking Tremor and Tremor Count on targets, especially compared to Rupture and Sinking, which are its main competitors for highest damage

Everlasting Faust;

I already explained the Mechanics of Everlasting Tremor in the history section.

Notably, the reasons other than Reverb for this EGO being good, is that it, at the very least, applies 10 Count and Potency to the target, with the potential to apply even more from resonance.

Binds Outis*:

*This EGO is good specifically in mirror dungeon

This EGO, through its passive of doubling the threshold raised, is able to be used in mirror dungeon as a fast way of staggering the entire enemy wave, as with Downpour and Nixie Convergence/Completed Oscillation it is mostly able to stagger enemies on its own.

Regret Meursault:

Regret Meursault is best utilized for its passive, allowing Meursualt's main Tremor ID, Rosespanner, to roll for 20 on his skill 3.

Due to the difficulty of gaining the wrath resonance needed to maximise damage done for this EGO, it wont deal quite as much as it theoretically can.

Fluid Sack Don Qui:

Finally closing this note that i started earlier, this EGO triggers Tremor burst on targets (AoE 3), then, if the target is staggered, Deal 30% of total damage dealt against the target.

With UT4 Making this EGO multi target it finally gets the spotlight it deserves.

Other Good EGO:

Sunshower Yi Sang, Wishing Cairn Yi Sang: Sloth Fragile on targets, enhancing the damage from Cavernous Wailing.

Tremor units:

The best Tremor units are Molar Outis, T corp Don, YD Hong Lu, Regret Faust, and Oufi Heathcliff.

Molar Outis is not in the extraction pool, being event locked to S.E.A and being dispensable for 400 shards. This Unit is the star of the Tremor team, having consistently high rolls, and, when fueled, a Count positive skill 3

T corp Don, released this season but in general recruitment, is the fastest unit in the tremor team. She can gain Borrowed time through her defense skill, which allows for her to consistently clash as high, or higher, than molar outis, and far above normal units. the only thing i want to note about T corp Don as well is that she is increadibly Count negative, consuming count on skills 2 and 3, and not being able to apply count from any of these skills. Additionally, she is able to convert tremor, not in the states manner but as in exchanging Tremor potency into Bind, meaning that she makes maintaining both Tremor Count and Potency more difficult, It is recommended, due to this, that you look to get T Don after building a functioning Tremor Team, not necessarily the most effective team, but a functional one at least.

YD hong lu, limited to the recently closed TKT event, will not be extractable in future, nor will be be available through the dispensary until season 6, alongside Everlasting Faust and YD Ryoshu. This unit is important for two reasons, one, he rolls high on skill 2, and if Tremor was spent, high on skill 3 as well, where he will also Entangle to Tremor - Reverb. The second major reason to use this ID is that Hong Lu lacks any other Tremor ID's, while having the most vital EGO for tremor. (in fact he got this EGO before getting his first Tremor ID, meaning that it was optimal to run a non tremor unit in the tremor team which is interesting)

Regret Faust is locked to WalpurhisNacht periods.

Regret Faust is an effective unit at applying count, as she applies 3 on skill1. She is also able to apply 5 Potency on skill 2, which also applies Plus Coin Drop, helping other ID's get skills though if less powerful at clashing.

Oufi Heathcliff is the primary source of both Gloom and Envy resources in the Tremor team, and is the only ID in this list which does not have any sloth affinity skills at all (not even EGO weirdly enough).

Oufi heathcliff, while lacking the burst that other ID's are able to apply, is a very high clasher who gains damage for free on passive for enemies with Tremor. His skill 1 applies count, his skill 2 applies potency, and his skill 3 is able to convert into Decay, which is the second best of the current Tremor states in the game, with the exclusion of Everlasting due to its reliance on Reverb to be ranked high.

Teambuilding:

there are two main tremor teams im discussing, Rainbow tremor, which is more funny than useful, and the regular tremor team.

Rainbow Tremor consists of:

T corp Don

The goal of this team is to have YD hong Lu or Regret Faust go first, and all other ID's to have their respective Tremor conversion ready (skill 3 Oufi, Skill 3 Don, Binds Outis, CW Hong LU, Everlasting Faust, and 10+ tremor count on self, skill 3 Hong Lu)

Its Ideal to have Hong Lu go first, and Specifically have Faust go last. this is because hong lu's skill 3 is able to inflict Entaglement, rather than conversion as all the others except Everlasting; As Combining Everlasting with Reverb is the highest form of damage that this can deal, its more efficient to get entaglement as soon as possible, in order to get each unit's tremor state before Everlasting.

If you take that exact same team you have the foundation for a regular Tremor team, minus Don.

While Don is good she is extremely hard to maintain, especially as there are 4 units on the above team who are neutral/Negative on Tremor Count, it is advised to bring a unit who is more positive such as:

T corp Rodion

Molar Yi Sang

N corp. Don (i swear its not terrible)
