So, yeah… Hi world! The beginning of the year was hard, bad stuff, terrible terrible art block and such. It's been so bad that I started shipping Robert and Flambae… X`D Like, it's so not me and all.
Still, will be posting more soon, more of these two idiots too. XD
Oh, and feel free to leave a couple of words of support - it really helps me get through my current art block!

You were pulling a double when Abbot arrived to take over from Robby. This was the first time you were scheduled for the night shift after the incident that shall not be mentioned.
At first, you didn't even notice him. Not until Lena and Dana started to comment on how extra grumpy he was lately, and they were wondering what could have been the reason. You looked over at him, lazily taking him in while he was busy talking with Robby, and you had to agree with the charge nurses, he did look extra grumpy. Shoulders stiff, arms crossed, frown never easing up, lips thinned and turning down in what you might call a pout (not to his face, though).
So distracted by looking at him, you were caught off guard and actually jumped in place a little when Lena called out to you way too sweetly before she threw you under the bus. "He had been in a real good mood after you two had breakfast together."
"I.. what?" was your genius response.
Dana turned to you with the same too innocent, wide-eyed, borderline creepy smile that Lena had on. "Oh. You went out with Jack? Did anything happen we should know about?"
You narrowed your eyes at them, "I'm sure Lena had all the gossip ready about what happened the moment she was left alone with you that day."
Your annoyed comment did not help in the slightest of wiping that smug 'I know there's more to it' look off their faces. Sighing, you tried again.
"There's nothing to tell."
That got a raised eyebrow from Dana, but you disappointed them with a shrug and a shut down of the conversation.
"Talked, apologised, ate, left to crash at home. That's it. Sorry, there's nothing else for you there, gossip girls."
You felt Lena's eyes on you every time you interacted with Dr. Abbot, so you tried to minimize the encounters. That was totally your only reason, too; it's not like it was awkward and you didn't know how to look at him without thinking about what happened on the roof, and maybe wishing for a repeat or just the ground to swallow you. Nope.
As luck would have it, you dug yourself into a bigger hole when you heard a woman in labor was expected to arrive in a few minutes, and with the way Jack looked at you from the other side of the nurses' station, you had no doubts he intended to assign you to this case.
On the verge of instant panic, you held his gaze. Eyes terrified, turning pale as the blood rushes out of your face, your lips quiver before you make your plea.
"No, please."
His eyes soften a fraction, but his frown deepens as he tries to be the objective attending he knows he can't be with you.
"You have to learn to handle these cases too."
"Not this one. Please?" you plead again, but he doesn't budge, so you try, "I'll owe you one."
Arms crossed in defiance - and in an unfairly distracting way - he remained silent.
"I'll get that new gadget for your go bag, the one you've been drooling over with Robby last month."
Still, nothing. You try a few other things to bribe him, but nothing works, then out of nowhere, you blurt out, "I'll buy you breakfast."
Jack regards you in silence, but he tilts his head, actually thinking about it, then says, "Deal." before uncrossing his arms, pointing at you with fake scolding and a warning that, "This is the last time you get away with this."
You release your breath, relieved for a moment. Then it hits you what you've done. Fucking Lena...

They're incredibly rare to naturally spawn, yet are slightly more common with unnatural spawns. Some scientists speculate it's the spawn attempting to produce twins, but something occurred during the process which ended up producing a taurphernal
The few alive taurphernals tend to take the job of manual labour such as transporting persons or items in carriages/on their backs
Contrary to popular belief, taurphernals don't really like it when you mount them without permission
