Airplane Holding Game
You get to the airport a little desperate, maybe it was a long drive and you didn’t have time before leaving or maybe it was on purpose. After the security line you’re even more desperate, but don’t get a chance to go before boarding. Maybe the plane was already boarding by the time you got to the gate or maybe you don’t have permission to go before boarding. Once on the plane you’re squirming in your seat as the plane sits on the runway in a queue for a half hour. After an hour from pushback from the gate the captain turns off the seatbelt sign and you’re ready to run to the bathroom, but I stop you. We look back and there is already a line of others who were also waiting and I give you challenge. You can only go to the bathroom if there is no one else in line. If you stand up to go and others who are seated closer get in line before you then you must turn around, come back, and wait until a bathroom is available. You don’t want to make others wait when you’re so good at it.
Maybe after a while of bouncing in your seat and holding you get an opening and rush to the bathroom getting your relief. Or, maybe you never get the chance you need and have to lose the challenge. Choosing to get in line knowing there will be punishments in store for you when we land.
