Funnily enough, I saw a tiktok like a year ago or sth where a bunch of (mostly) cis women were like "i asked my boyfriend if I could hold it while he pees and he said no :(" so I ODDLY understand you.

I’m sorry you feel embarrassed, anon. I hope it helps you to know that I absolutely do that.

Your ask reminded me I have to take my morning meds, so thank you for that.

I find that I zero in on a focus during manic episodes, and once I lock in, it’s so hard to break me out of it.

I ended up panic grabbing one of my freezer prepped meals yesterday to throw in the oven when my husband was coming home because I lost track of time. If it wasn’t for worrying about feeding him, I don’t know if I’d have stopped to eat yesterday.

Some things that can help for me, is I’ll set alarms for bathroom breaks. Otherwise it’s “oh, I’ll pee after this chapter” and then I don’t. And it can actually be really bad for your kidneys to hold it so I do force that.

I also try to have a box in my cupboard of easy and quick snacks I can grab to not interrupt my focus.

I don’t think you need to be embarrassed! I’m just encouraging something like that for your own health. (And I’ll admit, it’s not perfect. I’ve definitely hit ‘snooze’ to going pee lol).
