I don't know the comfort of a lover's arms at the end of the day but I do know about the relief of peeing after holding it for half a day.
I hate hypocrites. I hate so much of my family.
Going to the toilet almost about to piss your pants as a kid and grabbing the crotch as if you'll be able to hold that motherfucking Niagra of a bitch. Yeah, I don't think so.
Having an overly sensitive bladder and traveling do not go well together! I should have brought extra meds, but they don't do enough for me to keep buying them. And all the procedures just seem a bit intense and/or need to be repeated every few months. Gotta pee, gotta pee, always gotta pee.
paradise ϟ ansel and shai.
The two had been over this idea numerous times before – and he had thought that neither of them were interested in relationships, and neither were interested in getting hurt with the potential of what could come about from two people finally pushing past their fears and delving into the realm of romance. But late last week, the whole understand that Ansel thought he had was flipped upside down as their evening of fun had took a turn for the confusing. Like John Green had written in his novel, you don’t choose whether you get hurt in this world, but you do have the power to choose who hurts you. And as inspirational as that line should be, Ansel still had fallen powerless to the idea of dating and putting your heart out on the line for someone. The overall concept of it seemed nice, warm, and almost inviting, as you would know that there would always be someone to call your own, but his mind couldn’t help but linger back to all the negative possibilities that could come out of it. There was breaking hearts, getting your own heart broken, feeling cheated, used, upset, nervous, scared, you could end up losing a friend – you just didn’t know what would happen, considering no one could tell the future with these sorts of things. Now, Ansel wasn’t one to be cliché; in fact, he hated even the simple idea of it – but Shailene was giving him the idea that he needed to try and do certain things that he normally wasn’t comfortable with, and he knew that she was right. She always was, and that was something that tended to frustrate him to wits end. She wasn’t arrogant about this quality, nor did she rub it in anyone’s face, but he knew that she knew at the end of the day, Shailene always had an advantage to what she was talking about, and there would always be a reason behind why she was saying what she was. And maybe if he was lucky enough, the reason why she was saying what she was about this certain situation was because she wanted to be that person that changed his opinion on everything – at least that’s what he had hoped about it all. Maybe he was completely wrong and foolish to think that any one person could have that sort of power to change someone’s outlook on life; but if anyone could do it, it’d be Shailene. He already had felt guilty enough for ignoring the whole prospect of the question that she had proposed to him earlier on last week, so he knew that he needed to make it up to her. He was clueless as to how, but he already had a good idea in mind. It may be jumping the gun, considering the two had just confessed mutual liking for each other, but he wanted to take her with him back home to New York City, since he was going to be staying at his parents’ place to visit. They had already been traveling together for press, so why not make just one last stop back home? They could get away from all the pressure, and just have a few days to collect their thoughts, and get whatever this was sorted out. And lucky for him, she had agreed to his preposition.
Upon packing and boarding a plane for their trip to the Big Apple, Ansel found himself falling silent for a majority of the trip over. They were both tired for all the promotion, traveling and press they had been doing this past week for their upcoming movie, and they both deservedly needed a break from all of that. Neither of them was yet used to the fast paced life of Hollywood, and he wasn’t sure that they’d ever be. Granted, the bustling city of New York may not be a vacation to paradise and a setting of upmost relaxation, but he hoped that it would give them a chance to just let things fall into place for them; that’s all he really wanted out of this. There were some occasions where Ansel wanted to believe in fate, and maybe this was one of them where he did. Maybe the day he tried out for the part of Caleb Prior was the first day that things were starting to align for him up above. Maybe the day that he tried out for the part of Augustus Waters without the knowing of who would be his Hazel was just another sign that this was all some sort of weird voodoo of how his life was supposed to turn out, and who it was supposed to turn out with. And Ansel knew that not everything in life had an explanation, and not everything even had reasoning behind it, but he hoped that this one did, and he also hoped that his assumptions were correct. When they arrived into the JFK airport, it was surprisingly not as crowed as he would’ve guessed – but he also assumed it was because of the hour of the night they were traveling at. They were used to late night coming and going, but it still didn’t seem to get any easier. After finding their luggage and carrying all of their bags out to the cab he had ordered them, he turned to look at the much shorter brunette that was walking adjacent to him, “If I had a free hand, it’d be holding one of yours. But, that’s sorta’ hard at the moment.” He mused happily, just glad to be alone with her for once. Now, don’t get him wrong, he liked being with Nat and John, but at the same time, he wished they had some privacy every once in a while. Tossing their bags in the back of the trunk and hopping in, they took the cab over to the quiet and small suburban area just outside New York, which is where his parents resided. He lazily brought their bags in and tossed them to the side, closing the door behind them and immediately placing his hands at her waist while simultaneously tugging her closer, “I hate being cooped up like that – in planes and cars… It drives me nuts,” he mumbled, bending down at his knees to scoop her up into his arms effortlessly without a second thought and also without warning to her, before carrying her up the stairs, “But luckily, we don’t have to deal with that for a few days. It’ll be nice, right?” He took the familiar path to his room just like he had done a million times when he still lived here, struggling a bit to open the door with his hands that were preoccupied carrying the girl, all the while trying to remain quiet to not wake his parents, “You’re really beautiful – I feel like I don’t tell you that enough,” he began, walking her over to the bed and setting her down on top of the covers, “You can sleep in here, and I can take the guest room. Just don’t go rummaging through here. Not that you’d find anything interesting… besides awesomely hand painted figurines made by yours truly,” Ansel teased, placing a hand proudly against his chest, “So… goodnight. I’ll see you first thing in the morning.” And with that, he headed out the door, quietly closing it behind him before leaning his back against it, processing all that was going on in front of him. And almost immediately, without even giving himself time to overthink what he was about to do, he began turning around, walking into his room again quietly, kicking off his shoes and shutting the door behind him yet again. He knew that Shai wouldn’t be sleeping yet, but he still found himself watching his every step. When he made his way over to the bed, he went over to the empty side, slipping under the covers and moving his form behind hers, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder, “I changed my mind; I don’t want to sleep alone… Not when I know you’re here.” He whispered the words quietly against her ear, instantly enjoying the heat that radiated off her form and against his own.
When we're driving somewhere and I've had a few beers..
