I mentioned earlier that I didn’t like the unnecessary complication of having 5/6 of the Toa Hagah’s masks look like different Kanohi; And likewise I did away with the Great/Noble/Matoran distinction for Kanohi in general, having retconned the Toa Metru as having a second set of masks matching the sets for YaBr.
For the Toa Hagah in YaBr, I’m gonna do the same thing- All of their masks are standard and look like masks of that type. So for example, Bomonga’s Mask of Growth looks like any other Mask of Growth, instead of someone else’s Faxon for some reason.
As for why Norik and Dume’s masks look so alike... I have two options;
Firstly, the YaBr Kiril resembles Dume’s movie mask, and the Pehkui is the set version. Every time I think of Dume, it’s always his movie depiction, unlike with other characters, and the 2008 comics depicting movie Dume contributes to that as well. And since the movie and set Kirils look so different, I’m happy enough to make them separate Kanohi, with the set Kiril’s appearance appropriated for the Pehkui instead. In YaBr, the Kiril looks just like the movie version and just that.
Alternatively, I can change Norik’s mask to have an entirely new appearance for the Pehkui... Maybe a mix of both solutions; But so far, I’m inclined to divorce the movie and set depictions of the Kiril for the sake of Norik’s mask. The Pehkui in the sets is its standard appearance, as is the Kiril in the films, and both are the only ones there. So YaBr Dume resembles his movie depiction accurately, at least in regards to his Kanohi.
