Probably some kind of pony. Like a Connemara, maybe. They’re sassy little boogers.

Also, if a horse is being really strong and you don't have a rope halter or stud chain, you can also put the lead rope over the nose, just like how you attach a chain, and although it isn't nearly as harsh it definitely gives a bit more control.

unpopular opinion: tack & apparel brands are way over valued on show circuits - all that should matter is that it functions properly and looks clean and put together, not what name is on it or how much it costs

I don't follow brand names for the most part, there are certain brands I like but it's due to the functionality of them, not the name. I do agree for the most part name brands are only bought for the name and it's pretty easy to find cheaper brands that are the same quality. Saddles are pretty much the only thing where I think the brand name is more important.
