L'eden esiste e si trova nel tratto di costa della penisola del Pelion.

Protetta dal picco Pourianos Stavros, il paesaggio costiero della costa est e della costa occidentale regalano spiagge e baie da sogno con acqua tropicale, paesi fermi nel tempo a picco sulla roccia, mulattiere, sentieri escursionistici e tarverne spartane.

L’attrazione principale, è sicuramente il “trenaki” del Pelion. lnizialmente costruito per collegare Volos a Milies, funziona ora solo sulla tratta, lunga circa 16km, Ano Lechonia – Milies e solo da maggio ad ottobre. Il percorso dura circa un’ora e mezza, includendo la sosta di un quarto d’ora alla stazione intermedia di Ano Gatzea. Nel periodo estivo può essere difficile trovare posto, meglio arrivare una mezz’ora prima e sperare che il treno non sia stato prenotato da qualche gruppo…

Tra le spiagge più belle da raggiungere vi segnaliamo Agios Ioannis, Damoucharis, Milopotamos e Chorefto.

Come raggiungerla?

Per raggiungere la Penisola di Pelion è necessario passare da Volos oppure Salonicco, dove si arriva comodamente in aereo dall’Italia. Si prosegue in auto, circa 1-2 ore di viaggio a seconda della destinazione prescelta, su strada in buono stato ma piena di curve, soprattutto per quanto riguarda la costa Egea.
