Remember Pellizza da Volpedo Giuseppe Pellizza was an Italian neo-impressionist. He used the divisionist technique, whereby a painting is created by combining small dots of colour according to a specific color theory. After his return to his hometown Volpedo in 1892, he married a local woman and got settled. From then on, he added “da Volpedo” to his signature. Today we remember his death on 14 June 1907 at the age of 39.
