She can be very affectionate as well as reserved when it comes to touch;

One time she will just lay on top of Pema whenever the younger woman lays down as well (she loves to do it), the other she'll just intertwine their pinkies as they are listening to Meelo telling a story in Bumi-like style;

When it comes to Tenzin she will sit in his lap (whether he likes it or no, she'll just sit there) the second he sits down behind the desk in his study (or anywhere else where they are alone). If she wants to show affection more subtly she'll (if they are on some events) keep their arms touching (not holding hands, just the outside of their arms being connected) or every time she passes him, she'll caress his back/shoulders

She always steals Tenzin's underwear when she goes to sleep. She'd prefer sleeping wearing only his boxers but since the kids like to get into their bedroom she ends up putting on a t-shirt just to not flash poor children

He loves to leave small kisses on his partners' faces in random situations; Lin smirks at him when they are anywhere and are standing close? She gets a kiss on the forehead. Pema asked him to wake her up from a nap at a certain hour? She gets woken up by a rain of kisses on her face

That's why he and Lin bring their paperwork home and just sit next to each other while filling it, not exchanging a word while Pema reads something also sitting around them

That's also why he gets Lin some small stuff she can put on anywhere like rocks or some small souvenirs from the Air Temples, Pema gets lots of romance books from him because she loves them but there aren't many in the Air Temple Island's library

He has always liked sleeping on Lin's chest not only because of the boobie pillow (her boobs are more on the small side) but she'd always outline his tattoos with her fingers absently as she was mostly focused on something else

She's not a fan of flying on a bison. It's not like she's scared, she just doesn't like it so she and Lin always are just cuddled up at the front of the saddle whenever they are flying anywhere

Pema loves to tease her partners and takes every opportunity to do so. Also, seeing Lin blush is one of her favorite things on earth so she likes to be the reason of it;

She has this look in her eye whenever she's annoyed that she glares at people like she was capable of combusting them with the look. Tenzin and Lin are masters at recognizing it

Lin LOVES cuddling with Pema and prefers to do it with her over Tenzin because she's a little chubby (i mean, this woman had 4 kids after all) and Lin loves it because it makes Pema comfier to lay on top of while Tenzin is a stick figure with some muscle.

Lin is also the one that likes cuddles the most out of the three and that's why she's usually sandwiched between Pema and Tenzin when they're sleeping. Plus, she's always cold so the two of her partners are warming her up with their bodies

well, it's not as angsty as it was supposed to be but... turns out i cant write angst at all lmao

it's a bit different than my other pemalinzin fics bc it's set in pre-korra time so i did a few changes in the timeline and i hope they are not too confusing

Pema was definitely the one who offered to throw Lin into the mix.

I can imagine her saying to Tenzin something like „Umm, Beifong is kind of hot. Why did you break up with her again?”

Tenzin would be caught off guard because why the hell his wife is pointing out that his ex is attractive? He explains to her that it wasn't that he fell out of love with her but they just had too many differences etc. (of course he doesn't regret getting with Pema and wouldn't change a thing)

Pema just goes like „So you still love her?”

Tenzin is hesitant but finally admits it and is surprised that Pema isn't yelling at him and doesn't want to divorce him.

„To be honest, I kind of like her too. She is attractive and intelligent and... Strong... But the point is, do you think if we offered her to... join us? Would she accept it?”

Tenzin again is taken aback because he didn't expect Pema to come up with anything like that but he likes the idea of having two women he loves around.

After getting permission from Tenzin, Pema starts being bolder around Lin. Now, she's not only flirting with her but sometimes touches her arm/leg mid conversation.

Lin is of course surprised by Pema's actions but doesn't stop them because she likes them. At the same time, she hates herself for not stopping Pema because she's friends with Tenzin again and it feels wrong.

After some time Pema and Lin kiss, it's more of like in a moment thing, none of them expected it but neither stopped it.

Lin freaks out because she thinks she betrayed her best friend by kissing his wife but Pema calms her down „if he was here, he'd probably be kissing you as well”

They talk it over and Pema tells Lin that Tenzin has never stopped having feelings for her and Lin is kind of relieved because she felt the same about him. The only thing that confused her as fuck is that she also likes Pema and she never thought that being in love (although she wouldn't admit yet that she loved Pema at this point) with two people was a possibilty for her.

Pema offers her to join them for a night when kids would be away, try out some things, and if it doesn't work out then it's fine, they can never mention it again.

Lin agrees and they start with having a threesome when all of them are kind of awkward but they end up liking it a lot.

Once they wake up in the morning they talk out a few things and Lin admits that in fact, she thinks she might be falling for both of them.

The other two say that they feel the same way about her and Pema offers that maybe they just give a try to this new relationship since everyone seems to be interested.

I'll probably write a fic on all of this happening but those are just my thoughts. Does anyone have to say something more about it? I'll be happy to read your hcs
