Another interesting combo. Humble Defector taps, then you draw two cards and an opponent gains control of it. It works well for responses (you can respond to tapping it by casting Collateral Damage, sacrificing the Humble Defector to deal 3 damage). With Pemmin’s Aura, you can respond to the tap ability by untapping it. When it untaps, you can maintain priority and tap the Humble Defector again, to put two more cards on the stack. Respond by untapping again, resolve the untap, tap for two more on the stack. Once everything is said and done, you draw two cards for each time you tapped Humble Defector, and your opponent gains control of it (but you still control the aura). You can do a similar trick with the Immobilizing Ink, but remember you don’t draw the two cards if you respond to the effect. Instead you are paying 1 and discarding a card you already have. Essentially you trade one and a mana for two cards. Your opponent, however gets a creature that can do the exact same thing under their control (Immobilizing Ink affects the creature itself). I hope I’m interpreting this correctly. What do you folks think?
Edit: WOW. Html messed up on this...
