Liberia, Costa Rica
We decided to overnight in Liberia so we could have an early start to the border the next morning. We arrived in Liberia at noon. The heat here is brutal. I constantly had salt in my eyes from pouring sweat. One thing stands out for me in Liberia. When we arrived at the bus station I saw what I thought was an iguana. It was crossing a busy street and I was positive it was coloured orange. By the time it got across and scurried under some parked cars it was grey! I thought only chameleons changed colours but after a Google check, it’s confirmed. I had seen an iguana change colours while crossing the street!
Here we are waiting for the early morning bus that goes to Penas Blancas, the border post between Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
