hello penclone thing??? 👀👀👀

ahh, the penclone thing. honestly perhaps my secret favorite of all these wips, i'm so happy i get to talk about it haha!

so, first of all, i'm a big fan of penclone as a ship in general, and i am also a big fan of penny and beau having known each other for all their lives thanks to both of them being navy brats. this is me combining those two things! one might even say childhood lovers to lovers, or something. it happens as follows:

penny and beau meet at Navy Things their dads drag them to and become friends as small kids. later on, when they're in high school, they live close to each other for a while and they start dating for a summer. almost lose virginities to each other but stuff happens and beau lives with the regret for the next couple of decades, poor man lmao. anyway, once they're both off at different colleges, they don't meet again until much later, and then follows years and years of either one or both of them being married etc, so basically they're never both single at the same time untilllll post-tgm. beau's divorce has gone through, penny has been single for a good while after amelia's dad fucked off, you know the drill. but now they're both finally single and in a good place to start something, and my man beau is desperate at this point to make it happen and make it happen for good. we get to watch him fumble his way through flirting with penny at the hard deck counter while fanboy narrates the whole thing like it's a nature documentary with a horrible david attenborough impression to boot. also, maverick gives advice which may or may not be helpful. also, there's a background mav/warlock. also, all of this basically moonlights as the entire life story of beau simpson because i can't get enough of that guy tbh. i should just push myself to finish this because i've enjoyed what i have so far a lot! they're very sweet.
