“Oh my god are you wearing that?” your cousin asked as she sat on the bed glaring at you. “I love this top!” you said trying to defend yourself. “Don’t you think the stripes give off the wrong look? I mean, they aren’t doing you any favors for your body type.” You wanted to wear that outfit, but her discouraging words made you turn back to your closet. It was the day you were going to finally see your favorite band, IM5. It would be your first time going to one of their shows and your mom managed to get you a VIP ticket! Although that was generous of her, there was a catch. You had to take your cousin, who you weren’t too big of a fan of, with you. Your mom said something about how you guys should “bond” and “try to get along”. “How’s this?” you asked stepping into the room wearing a denim skater skirt with a pink lace top. “I guess it’s ok, I’ll be less embarrassed to be seen with you.”

You guys got to the venue, showed your tickets to the guard and were told to wait in a specific area with some other girls. After about a hour of waiting the boys appeared with some guards and everyone started shrieking. You wanted to see Cole first, since he had a special place in your heart, but he was swarmed first. Instead you went with your cousin over to David. You guys chatted and took pictures together and David handed you both stickers. You then made your way to Gabe, then Dana and Will. Finally you two went to talk to Cole. “Hey ladies! How are you?” he asked. Your heart filled with excitement and you opened your mouth to say something but got interrupted by your cousin. “I’m doing great! Let’s take a picture!” she said as she handed you her phone and stood next to him. You took their picture and Cole said, “You want a picture too?” as he looked at you. “Please!” you said excitedly. “Why would you want a picture with her? She’s not looking great today…or any day,” your cousin sneered. You were shocked. How could she say that in front of the one person you loved most in the world?! You put your phone back in your bag and said “Never mind, thanks anyways Cole.” “Wait a second! I don’t know who you think you are but that was really rude of you. First of all, you need to have some respect for others. Secondly, she is one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen in my life so you must be blind!” Cole shouted at her. He grabbed your hand and pulled you closer to him before pulling out his cell phone. “Let’s take some pictures so I can tweet them!” You two took picture after picture while your cousin stared and eventually left the area. As soon as she left you said “Thank you. You didn’t have to do that.” He smiled and said “If someone is treating a fan like that, I most definitely need to stick up for them. I hope you don’t take anything she said to heart. I meant what I said, about you being one of the most beautiful girls I’ve seen.” You blushed and said “Well thank you, you have no idea how happy that made me!” He hugged you once more and said “I hope you enjoy the show today! I’ll be looking for you in the crowd!” And that was the start to one of the most amazing days of your life.
