The paper in this FN edition feels like the cheap copy paper that I have to deal with at school.  Definitely not my favorite, definitely notebooks that will probably not work with any pen and ink combo when fountain pens are involved.

What is a PIP? A P(en)I(nk)P(aper) is a brief, handwritten review about a specific combination of those three things. It will deal mainly with the usability of the combination, both for general use as well as suitability for physics and mathematics. These scans have not been corrected or enhanced in any way, so the colors may appear different than the true colors. Unless otherwise explicitly stated, all products used have either been bought with my own money or given as personal gifts and all opinions are entirely my own.

After spending quite a bit of time getting my Lamy converter completely clean of any IG residue, I decided I wanted something different for schoolwork. Something…grey. But I am a poor grad student, and buying grey ink just irks me. Luckily, I have a giant bottle of Noodler’s Heart of Darkness, and it dilutes to a quite delightful grey. This mix is 1 part HoD to 2 parts distiller water.

This PIP was done on a 3x5 index card - the holes in the side are so that I can put it in my Arc notebook.
