Lovely to be in hills again
The old roman bridge at Penmachno / North Wales (by Stephen Elliott).
Roman Bridge Penmachno by Frightened Tree The Roman Bridge over the Afon Machno, Snowdonia, North Wales. Particularly beautiful in the autumn. www.facebook.com/beckyandadriansphotography/ www.instagram.com/frightenedtree/ https://flic.kr/p/2hM6GgB
Pont Rhufeinig.
Roman bridge, Penmachno.
It actually dates from the 1600s. Some of the upper masonry has been removed but apparently it never had a parapet so presumably was a packhorse bridge. I walked across it a few years ago and after nearly four hundred years it was still perfectly sound.
