Goddess Idol Found : పెన్నా నదిలో బయటపడిన అమ్మవారి విగ్రహం
Penna is a river that runs in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Its source is in Nandi Hills.
The Penna River originates in the Nandi Hills of Karnataka and flows through the Deccan Plateau before entering Andhra Pradesh. Along the way, it creates several waterfalls and rapids as it traverses through the Eastern Ghats. The river then flows onto the flat plains of the coastal region before meeting the Bay of Bengal near the town of Nellore.
#Gandikota is a village and historical fort on the right bank of the #PennaRiver, 15 km from #Jammalamadugu in #Kadapa district, #AndhraPradesh, India. The fort was the center of power for various dynasties, such as the Kalyani Chalukyas, Delhi Sultante, Pemmasani Nayaks, and the Golconda Sultanate. Gandikota was the capital of Pemmasani Nayaks, who were vassals of the Vijayanagara Empire, for almost 300 years. Pemmasani Ramalinga Nayudu constructed the huge fort at Gandikota with 101 towers replacing the previous sand fort constructed by Kapa Raja, Vassals of Kalyani Chalukya rulers. Various additions of Islamic architecture were made during subsequent Muslim rule. https://www.instagram.com/p/B3ldBeUhDuM/?igshid=6wgbks1t08y9
