Black widow vampire Steve??? 👀

Oooooh, this is gonna be a fun one and it's all @hbyrde36's fault 😅

There was a brain worm that started in the replies of a post somewhere here and it latched on and would not let go.

The line I thought of that started everything off was "Steve had fallen in love many times before, even if it was just for one night."

So currently I am envisioning a bitter and broken Steve who had lost human Eddie ~300-400 years ago and hasn't been the same since.

He has had Robin with him only for about ~40 years so while he's in the process of healing, he's still got a long way to go.

I'm thinking the Victorian era maybe but I'm not sure yet.

I'm thinking he goes out and hunts terrible people, seduces them, kills them after he's had his fun.

I'm thinking at one point he keeps seeing familiar brown curls scross the street, through a window, in the crowd, but he's always too late to get a good look.

But it couldn't be anyway, right? Eddie's been dead for over 300 years.

I really like the idea of Qrow bonding with Penny over the fact that Qrow does not see her as a robot but as a person, as a kid that needs guidance just like all the others he has with him, I'm just really love the bonding ideas they could have, I'm so soft ;~;

I love that we've all come to the agreement that Qrow will adopt anything vaguely child shaped the second he lays his eyes on them

And Qrow and Penny would be amazing cuz he's got relationships she's never had any examples for, he's got life experiences no one in her life can relate to and he's just an absolutely loving person who treats everyone as equal.

Like, Penny is young and naive and still learning but Qrow would treat her the same way he'd treat any of the other kids and she'd learn a lot from that alone. He's never really been the authority figure of the group, not actively, he's just been a more experienced kid really. In a way, he's been a cool uncle to everyone and while Penny has other positive relationships with adults - her father, Winter, James...they're different

Her father, obviously, is her father. Winter is in her early to mid twenties and not the most well put together person emotionally, Ironwood is her CO first and foremost, even if she's very comfortable with him.

Qrow is very different from them but he is at least as caring as Pietro, in his own way.

Penny would definitely benefit from an adult in her life who sees things very differently compared to all the other adults she knows while also being just chill with her

Besides, bubbly girl with super speed? Sign him the fuck up, it's like home!

Popping in again for the WIP Weekend to ask about And They Were Roommates! I'm so looking forward to that one

Oh thank you! I'm so excited for it too and I remember you'd asked to be on the tag list for it, so I have that noted down to make sure!

I think I'd mentioned before I got the idea from rewatching Vicious again and I thought "I need more fics where the boys are both involved in queer culture a little more, even if that's just with the language they use with each other."

So I said I'd do it myself and it's based both off of my own experience within queer culture with queer friends and what I have seen in our culture.

And OF COURSE I had to take the opportunity to make it enemies to lovers.

I also wanted something where one person isn't so immediately emotionally destroyed or obnoxiously jealous when the other person is going out on the town because like "I don't even like them, I don't care what they do!" But also "They're living their life, no skin off my back." Does that make sense?

I just want two bitchy boys getting together and grumbling about it. 😅

“That might need stitches.” “No stitches, can’t be bothered with stitches.” “Stitches not punk enough for you?” Eddie did glare at him for that. “Don’t even. You know I’m not a punk.” Steve grinned at him. “No?” “Steven.” Even through the heavy talk, Steve relished the sight of the slight smile that had appeared on Eddie’s face and his return to bitchy banter. “Edward, is there a difference?” Steve shrugged as he fished for supplies in the kit. “Doesn’t seem to be.” “To you, maybe.” Eddie flicked at a piece of his hair. “God you’re such a… you’re such a jock.” “Wow,” Steve raised his eyebrows, “let’s add observant to your list of positives.” “Assho-ow!” Eddie shrieked as Steve pressed a butterfly bandage over the wound. “You’re a giant pain in my ass.” “Only if you ask nicely,” Eddie growled at him, irritated and snappy, “you perpetual bottom.”

I'm so intrigued by The Final Girls (2015) Steddie for WIP Weekend 👀

Amazing! Okay so I have two more asks about this here and here so let's continue this thought train!

I'm trying to think of, like, the perfect tropey moments that can show up in this fic and I just have one thought in my head of the house phone ringing and Steve picks it up and it's like the start of Scream?

But it's Steve at he's married and like in his 40's-ish and is not taking this seriously at all. Hes fought alternate dimension monsters, he's not scared of some idiot in a mask with a knife.

"What's your favourite scary movie?"

"I'm more of a rom-com or sports movie guy myself."

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

Steve looking over at his husband. "Nope."

"What are you wearing?"

At this point Eddie's just like "What are you doing?" and Steve says "A serial killer is trying to flirt with me." to which Eddie's just like "no fair! Gimme! I wanna flirt with the serial killer too!" and they grapple for the phone.

I just want them to be so silly about this. 😅

the Final Girls Steddie and untitled document (2)!

OMG YES OKAY, THE FINAL GIRLS

The 2015 movie is AMAZING, I love it so much, if you haven't seen it go watch it.

The characters get stuck in an 80's horror movie.

I mean... COME ON

IT'S PERFECT

They use the tropes to their advantage.

So that was the original idea, and then I thought that hey Steve and Eddie have already been through an 80's horror tv show. They're old hat at this.

But what if their kid gets stuck? Like their 17/18y/o daughter who either is surviving like a badass and then her two dorky dads show up to help her out like, what???

OR

The horror movie starts happening around them. Daughter knows what's up and is trying to not freak her two dorky, innocent, goofy dads out, all the while trying to hide that this is happening and protect them.

But y'know. They're literal monster killers so ther'll have to be a record scratch moment somewhere 🤣

And Untitled Document (2) was answered here but to elaborate on that.

I'm thinking it's not Eddie that finds Steve as the Beast first. It's the kids. A couple of years before Eddie does and then we'll bring in Dustin's attempt to raise Dart because Dustin will be like "No, he's not a beast he's my friend!"

Shennanigans ensue!

THE FINAL GIRLS. I loved that movie and I'm hella gay for it. Please tell me about your Steddie version. I'm all ears. (Even if it has nothing to do with that movie - I'm still hella gay for whatever you're doing!)

omg omg omg okay, I have some asks answered about this here, here and here BUT I want to continue to elaborate.

I am currently envisioning it as not just one horror movie, but maybe a bunch of tropes from a bunch of different horror movies (but feel free to fire ideas at me 😅)

HOWEVER, as hinted in previous asks, I think it's gonna be the POV of steddies daughter.

Like can you imagine, you've got your standard horror movie where a teenage girl has to fight evil or whatever (but in this case it's not evil, it's a scared child's powers being out of control, kinda similar to Before I Wake) and she's trying to keep her dads safe but also not freak them out, trying to hide it from them, only when push comes to shove she finds out they're fucking badass!

I have a lil note in here that the nailbat is called Old Faithful.

I'm thinking steddies daughter get's all her other siblings/cousins together to try and fight this thing but also keep it from their parents.

And then y'know, their parents come in, the fucking Hawkins monster hunting found family and fuck shit up along with their kids.

Y'know, a family movie.

Oh, also the entire time Steve and Eddie are making fun of all the predictable tropes because OF COURSE they are! 😅

for the wip game – oooh Untitled Document (5) sounds so fascinating 😂

Okay okay okay okay! I already have a short answere here about Untitled Document (5) but I do need to expand on it, so I'm gonna use this ask to brainstorm a little. 😅

I know you'll be right along with me for the ride, Sage. We've both fucked around with a Doctor Who AU before 🤣

SO, I am thinking, of course, Doctor!Eddie, Companion!Steve. And I cannot have Steve without Robin so Robin will be crash landing into the Tardis at some point because I have to.

I love the idea that Eddie as the Doctor just really fucking loved the 80's, especially the 80's metal scene so his costume in the ST show is pretty much his 'Doctor costume', because he's a werid and wonderful boy.

I think I'm gonna pull from a few different Doctors personalities to build into Eddie, like he's still gonna be Eddie, of course but maybe with a bit of:

10's impulsiveness and theatricality ("ooooh, what am I gonna do with this big red button that should never ever ever be pushed? Push it!")

11's weird whimsy ("Bacon, that's bacon. Are you trying to poison me?")

9's hopeful anger ("Just this once, Rose, everybody lives!") and

12's depth of feeling ("Do you think I care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference?") That line rewired my fucking brain.

I'm too unfamiliar with Jodie and Ncuti's Doctor's to pull anything from them but that might change depending on how long this thing takes to come out!

I think I'm also gonna fuck around with a few of the enemies/storylines from the Doctor Who show and just have fun with it, y'know?

Just a big dramatic, time travelling love story!
