As a child even a teenager I look back at pictures and I was so thin. But the message that I got from my family even when I was thin was that I was fat and I just piled on the weight. Now after the sleeve surgery and gastric bypass I'm finally down to my goal weight. That doesn't make those voices go away or the body dysmorphic disorder. Stitch fix is helping me put together outfits that I wouldn't put together myself and finding items and sizes that fit my new body. I find it empowering and it helps me have a better body image.
