12 giugno 2018 - Quel giorno fu senza dubbio uno dei migliori di quel viaggio in Scozia. Dopo il famoso castello, attraversiamo un ponte e ci ritroviamo catapultati un uno dei luoghi più meravigliosi del mondo intero: l'Isola di Skye.
Percorriamo gran parte della costa nord fino ad arrivare al famoso "The Storr", la montagna più alta della penisola, dove si trova l'"Old Man": un monolito di roccia che purtroppo non riusciamo a raggiungere per motivi di tempo.
Poi vediamo la famosa cascata di Kilt Rock che però ci delude, in quanto purtroppo era praticamente in secca; ad averlo saputo dedicavamo più tempo allo Storr. Infine un'altra meraviglia ci attendeva: il Quiraing, dove abbiamo passeggiato a lungo agevolati dalla latitudine del posto che consente che fa sì che ci sia luce fino alle 10 della sera.
Tornati poi indietro abbiamo pernottato nel paese di Portree che dall'alto domina il suo porticciolo, dove attraccano barche che lo riforniscono copiosamente di ottimo pesce del quale poi, i fortunati come noi godono appieno.
12 June 2018 - That day was without doubt one of the best days of that trip to Scotland. After the famous castle, we cross a bridge and find ourselves catapulted to one of the most beautiful places in the world: The Isle of Skye.
We travel most of the north coast until we reach the famous "The Storr", the highest mountain on the peninsula, where the "Old Man" is located: a rock monolith that unfortunately we can't reach for reasons of time.
Then we see the famous Kilt Rock waterfall, which however disappoints us, because unfortunately it was practically dry; we spent more time on the Storr. Finally another wonder was waiting for us: the Quiraing, where we walked for a long time facilitated by the latitude of the place that allows there is light until 10 in the evening.
We then went back and spent the night in the village of Portree, which dominates its small harbour from above, where boats dock and supply it with excellent fish, which the lucky ones like us enjoy to the full.
