I love when I can get a seperate frame in the shot. The way it draws the eye is fascinating

The Andean Cock-of-the-Rock, a beautiful bird with a beautiful name, eyeballing me from no more than 3 feet away.
One of my favorite things to do on my birthday is to go to the zoo, this year was close too, but thankfully no exception. I was very suprised to get this picture back looking as nice as it does. The lack of light in the tropical bird house compounded the difficulties of shooting slow speed film, forcing me to shoot at 1/15th wide open on my 50 1.4. I couldn't be much happier with the final result. The steadiness with which I held the camera, coupled with some nice optics, leads to a level of sharpness I was simply not expecting under the conditions.
Suffice to say I'm happy with this shot.

The 35 Macro Limited has been everything I had hoped in my first autofocus lens purchase outside the kit. Very sharp, with excellent colors and insane flare resistance all in a very well made and fun to use package. HD Pentax-DA 35mm 2.8 Limited, Pentax K5
It’s about time I started to use my digital camera more, only had the thing 6 years. Testing a new lens and the flare resistance is pretty dang good Feathers HD Pentax-DA 35mm 2.8 Limited, Pentax K5

Tried out some T-Max 100 in Eastern Washington, one of my favorite places to shoot, and I couldn't be much happier with the results. Beautiful tonal response, insane resolution, and just about the finest grain I've seen in 35mm. Edge, Canon FD 135mm 2.8, T-Max 100
