the rest of mothclan warriors! in order they are Cloudnose, Shadowstride, Briardusk, Violetplume, Peonywish, Yarrowbloom, Wolfwind, Eagleslash, and Meekwing. a few of these aren't designed originally by me-- the creators of the designs are linked!

Cloudnose is happy go lucky but a bit dim-- not the most talented warrior, and some find him a bit annoying. but he means well!

Shadowstride is very intimidating and no-nonsense, but she has a special brand of humor only a few people understand and find funny. She's not necessarily aggressive, but she will always stand her ground.

Briardusk is quiet and reserved, often thought of Violetplume's shadow as she's been following her around ever since they were young warriors! Briardusk is in love with her but Violetplume is blissfully unaware, and Briardusk will never confess as she knows the feelings are unrequited.

Violetplume always puts others before herself, trying to help everyone she can. however, she ended up feeling very isolated because she refused to let anyone past her defenses, until she met the loner Larch, whom eventually became her mate and moved to MothClan to raise a family with her.

Peonywish was originally a BeeClan warrior, the younger sister of Pricklestar. After the loss of brother Spottedpaw in battle, she became withdrawn from the Clan and eventually found comfort in the MothClan medicine cat apprentice Shallowcreek. She eventually moved to MothClan to be with her and is much happier now.

Yarrowbloom keeps to herself, always silent and bitter. She and Briardusk have been rivals since kithood, but Yarrowbloom has always harbored feelings for her. No cat likes Yarrowbloom much except her mate Cloudnose, whom she took on a whim after hoping she could fall in love with him, but to no avail.

Wolfwind and Eagleslash are sisters brought into the Clan as kits after the death of their mother and sister. Wolfwind is fiercely devoted to MothClan's deity, the Light, believing it defines her life and gives her purpose. Eagleslash is volatile and hostile towards every cat, bullying her way through her Clanmates to get what she wants.

Meekwing, as her name suggests, is very quiet and shy, rarely speaking to those she doesn't consider friends or family. She is down to earth and dedicated, but rarely finds reasons to make unnecessary conversation.

hi!! just wanna drop by and say how I had stumble across your fic, 'kill the cat' (still my personal fav) back then and I love it so much that I read all of your other fic (except for the multich ones) and then I start following you here and read all of your askbox fic as well!! srsly your writing is so good and I absolutely love your characterization so much!!! especially on dt (I have so much opinion about them, I'm enby myself and I'm happy that spop has a they/them character but let's admit it that dt is not the best rep out there and yes, regardless of all that, they're an interesting character) anyway your hurt/comfort fic is literally the best, the way you portray catra & adora trauma is so good and you're just an amazing writer!! I think deep down we all know why alec was at his best on 3x16 because magnus was not wearing any makeup and it's basically harry so matt put all of his heart into it as he's no longer acting anymore. it's just matt showing his love to magnus/harry. *proceeds to hide*

yes! I've been waiting for you to talk about the interaction between lorenzo and alec. I actually like the interaction until alec mention the clave and I was like why??? overall, what do you think about it tho? did alec managed well in his hoti position?

Same. I am for Alec stopping Lorenzo from taking advantage of Magnus’ fragile emotional state. Because, don’t get me wrong, Lorenzo is absolutely taking advantage of Magnus. He is not “punishing Magnus for insubordination”. Lorenzo is getting revenge on Magnus for not bowing his head down to him. 

So I was all for Alec using his position as HotI to assert himself and cut off Lorenzo’s dismissals of him. I also liked that Alec proposed a deal because, at the end of the day, Magnus sought out Lorenzo, Magnus rushingly agreed to Lorenzo’s terms, and Magnus did attack Lorenzo before. It makes sense that Alec would go for a diplomatic and fair route, thus demonstrating that he is, in fact, a better leader than Lorenzo because he, unlike Lorenzo, doesn’t let petty feelings cloud his judgment.

And then Lorenzo says he’ll crush Magnus’ spirit if he needs to and the scene becomes a parallel of the Lorenzo/Magnus scene from 309. Alec absolutely lost control at that point, the same way that Magnus lost control when Lorenzo said he’d let Alec die if that meant keeping the warlocks from antagonizing Lilith. 

It’s basically the same structure. Both Alec and Magnus try to reason with Lorenzo, who is being an asshole, and when Lorenzo goes “I don’t care if the man you love gets hurt”, both Alec and Magnus lash out. Those are beautiful character moments in which the heroes are being flawed and I’m here for it. 

What I’m not here for is Alec justifying his ability to “take Lorenzo down” by invoking the Clave’s power. He shouldn’t get a pass for using the Clave’s judgment - something that Alec knows is notoriously biased and ruthless and that he now has good reason to believe would lead to Lorenzo being tortured - as a threat. 

Other than that, this is just a stupid move all around. Alec let Lorenzo know he is waiting for Lorenzo to make a mistake, emphatically alerting Lorenzo to be extra careful. Alec has also blatantly threatened a downworlder leader who can now go and tell other downworlders the HotI isn’t quite as downworlder friendly as he “pretends” to be. Lastly, if Lorenzo doesn’t back off and Alec doesn’t go through with his threat and fails to deliver Lorenzo to the Clave, then this is the second time Alec is making idle threats and thus undermining himself as an authority and a powerful figure. Guess anyone can just walk all over the HotI because he is all bark and not bite.

So I would say that, although Alec started out great, things derailed by the end of the scene. Which I hope was intentional from the writers’ part and that will come back and bite Alec in the ass.

*amy santiago voice* oooooh mama. this is absolutely right up my alley! i am always down for this because there are so many layers of awesome to it. 

there’s the inevitable interest of what their majors are and how that manifests in how they interact and what they talk about. and then there’s the absolute cuteness of being comfortably in each other’s space. i’m always a sucker for  a study session in a library as well because that’s always bound to be cute as hell. it’s just such a wonderful foundation for building a relationship honestly and i am so down for it

What about enemies to friends to lovers fanfic trope? 👀

Ohhhhh, now we are talking. One of my absolute fave tropes/themes and I wish I could use it in every book or fic because it has so much potential and I simply love to follow the characters how they went from literally getting at each other’s throats to “OMG I am in love with you!”. lol

Personally, I don’t see it so much with Malec because these two idiots are soulmates falling in love at first sight kinda lbr, but it could work IMO if you don’t really go with enemies but more like them being competitors/rivals to get the same job or something like that. Until they realize… we were so dumb and wow your eyes are the most beautiful thing and I wanna have your babies. If it also leads to them bringing a firm down on the way or something like that, count me in on it. So yup, definitely a yes.

Though, imagine that with Maryse and Luke. Like, I am probably not writing this because I have too many WIPs already, rip me, but them being real enemies at the start and literally hating each other’s gut until they are maybe forced to work together and find out… hey, wait, you are the piece I was missing in my life? Heck yes, I’d say.
