Doctor/Master Shadowhunters AU - Drabble

@auntymana: (Ten and Simm, obviously you know me)

Koschei’s fingers were steepled and tapped on his chin in a series of beats in 4/4 time.  After it was proven that his mother had sired him with a Fey, he was given the ‘gift’ of a rune that would prevent the 'fey magic’ from 'corrupting’ his strong Shadowhunter heritage and skill. With a small side effect of driving him mad, and making him often the target of the Clave. Typical, as he was, after all, their greatest war crime.

He felt that old familiar presence and grinned a toothy grin of equal parts delight, malice, and obsession.  "Ah, if it isn’t my dear, dear Theta  We meet again. To what do I owe the…“ 

He turned in his chair and whatever gloating he had planned faded.  Theta, his best friend and companion in childhood, his parabatai. Theata with his lanky frame, wild sticky-uppy hair, pinstripe suit; that was all the same.  But the hair was a little more chaotic than normal. The suit a tad too rumpled.  And that frame was twisted in agony that had not yet faded.  A thin trickle of blood dripped from his nose.

Koschei had only seconds to react.  To jump from his chair as the other Shadowhunter faltered, and began to fall.  He caught him before he could face-plant completely, down on his knees, holding his greatest enemy, most often sent to find him when Koschei 'consorted’ with Downworlders.  Yet, also his oldest and once most trusted friend.

"You daft old fool, ” he cursed soft, looking with both paranoia and grave concern at that pale, drawn face.  "What have you done?“

i didn't really like martha when i first watched doctor who then I watched torchwood and realized how amazing she was and I only didn't like her because 1. her crush on the doctor kinda hindered her from being the best she could be 2. tbh I missed rose and then when I rewatched dw I realized I loved her considering all she went through

yh i feel like the way she’s written in doctor who s3 is really bad, it focuses way too much on her unreciprocated feelings for ten and how she ‘isnt rose’ which is just unfair considering the target audience is kids who’ll take that at face value and hate on her/treat her badly bc the doctor does and hes the ‘hero’ of the story. 

like u watch her in s2 of torchwood and s4 of doctor who where shes free of the crap they slapped onto her in dws3 and her character is so much clearer, you see everything she was/we could’ve seen better in dws3 if her main trait wasnt Looking Sad whenever ten brought up rose
