it has been only five minutes and thirty-two seconds since ms. romanoff last looked longingly in ms. potts' direction, and yet ms. potts is currently complaining to ms. parker about her supposedly unrequited crush on the redheaded assassin.
that's not the only fact jarvis knows about this annoyingly slow burn romance, though he almost wishes that it was.
for example, he knows that ms. romanoff first realized she was head-over-heels in love with ms. potts at 3:14 in the morning on april 15th of last year, when she was drinking vodka in the kitchen with mr. barton.
he's been forced to witness and record their pining for over a year now, and, in his opinion, he thinks that if he has to watch them blatantly flirt without actually making any moves one more time, his circuits will blow.
he tells mr. stark as much, and he laughs. "nah, jarvis," he says, "you're stuck watching this with the rest of us."
"this is cruel and unusual punishment," jarvis replies, but mr. stark only laughs more.
eventually, after five more weeks, jarvis decides that since someone must do something about the pining, he will step up to the task.
he begins by gathering data - ms. romanoff's favorite things, movies and foods and books, and discovers her recent habit of binge watching star trek.
it's the perfect opportunity, jarvis thinks. ms. potts loves star trek.
and so he tells both of them that the avengers will be having a star trek movie night and that mr. stark insists that they come (he long ago gave jarvis permission to throw around the stark name, though likely not like this), then makes sure that the rest of the team does not interrupt them.
they watch two movies before ms. potts falls asleep in ms. romanoff's arms, and it's not much, but it's progress.
jarvis overhears mr. barton complaining to mr. banner about ms. romanoff's pining, and mentally rolls his eyes. if only he knew.
several arranged interactions later, ms. potts asks ms. romanoff out on a date.
ms. romanoff, of course, says yes.

three years, two months, eleven hours, four minutes, and fifteen seconds after ms. romanoff realized her feelings, she officially becomes mrs. romanoff-potts.
jarvis is not there to see it.
