Clint has accused Natasha more than once of having some kind of sixth sense when it comes to knowing someone is about to get sick. It’s bullshit, of course - she’s observant, not psychic. (Though that’s never convinced him, no matter how many times she says it.) So, she makes a stop after work when she notices that her girlfriend is feeling a little under the weather, picks up candles, chocolate, fresh juice, cold medicine. Even texts Bruce to demand that he start working on a cure for the common cold, and she’s only half certain he’s joking when he says he will.

When she gets back to their apartment, she finds Y/N sprawled out on the couch, cozy in her favorite hoodie, the first one that she ever stole from Nat. Nat can’t help but smile slightly at the sight, sitting down beside her and brushing a few stray locks of hair out of her face. “Hey, love,” she says softly. “How’re you feeling?”

“Shitty,” Y/N grumbles. “My head is pounding.”

“Poor baby,” Nat coos, half teasing. “I come bearing snacks, medicine, and hugs.”

“God, you’re the best.”

“I know. C’mon, let’s get you taken care of.”

They do just that, and later, Nat finds a romcom and they settle in side by side to watch. Y/N leans into her girlfriend’s side, drained and drowsy, and Nat wraps an arm around her, rubbing soothing circles on her back. Nat presses a gentle kiss to her forehead, and Y/N falls asleep.
