been working on OCs.... trying to fall in love with the pirates again so I redesigned them and am shifting around all genre/backstory/plot stuff around 😪

What was your first introduction to fandom?

Role-playing Dragon Ball Z OCs on a DeviantArt/drawing program hybrid called DrawCast that is LONG defunct.

There were 4 of us that found each other through posting DBZ OC art and started roleplaying together. The kicker, though, is that we were role-playing on a public post of mine. In the comments. So people would just fucking read it and comment on what was happening. We had people come in and join and we were like yeah sure why not.

That went on for MONNNNTHS and we had probably nine regular roleplayers at the height of it. The plot and characters were all hilariously over the top because we were 11-14 year old shonen fans.

I reconnected with two of the original members a few years back! It's super cool to have fandom friends from 13~14 years ago still hanging around. One of them still draws the same OC!
