What keeps you inspired to do make-up?
Tunnel vision, truthfully if I kept my eyes on all of what is going on in beauty I would feel defeated and drained. The industry is extremely over saturated. I keep myself inspired by focusing on trends that I like and things that feel good. Old music videos and magazines. I love older trends where makeup wasn’t as harsh.
What kind of looks are your favorite to create ?
I love complexion and clean skin. Im very traditional in my application I still use a flat foundation brush vs a beauty blender because I love to paint. I love skin that glows from within. I love smoky eyes that are not too deep with grey’s and charcoals.
If you could do make up on any celeb who would you choose and what look would you go for ?
I love women who have clean skin and aren’t afraid to try something a little different. Believe it or not I don’t have a celebrity I would love to do but I am in love with a few past and present faces that I have appreciation for. Who look beautiful without makeup and makeup is just the accessory. Find me the person who has the most unique and intricate features and that would inspire me more than working with a celebrity!
What path do you feel make up is leading you towards?
I’ve been an executive in the beauty industry for a really long time now. I love writing and education and make-up has brought me to a platform in which I can use my voice to inform and educate women on beauty. This platform is growing immensely. I curate educational beauty content and work with writers who I push and motivate to do the same.
