I thought I wouldn't create an AU other than Cloud Tower, but… IT HAPPENED BY ACCIDENT PHAHA…
Simply put, it's an AU where all the characters (not all, actually) work on the train.
Just to clarify, the universe's setting is oriented towards the USSR.
Very lazy sketches, and I just have to say I forgot to give badges to everyone except Mr. Stick, Brick, and Pepperman. They actually have them.
In this AU, Peppino works as a cook on a train. He’s still the same stressed-out guy—still hates his job and gets paid next to nothing. He used to work in a second-class carriage, but after Pepperman sold it, his position changed.
Gustavo is a conductor in a third-class carriage. He’s the last one to join the train crew.
Brick was originally just a stray rat, but Gustavo took pity on her when he saw her hungry and dirty at a station, so he snuck her onto the train. Eventually, Pepperman even gave her a chance to work as a waitress.
Pepperman is, somewhat unexpectedly, the train’s master—or rather, the one in charge of keeping order and supervising the conductors. He’s also a major, though rumor has it he earned that rank in the rear, not on the front lines.
Here, Vigilante is the officer in charge of keeping order on the train.
Noise is the bartender in the dining car, and Noisette is the waitress.
Mr. Stick is a fare dodger who was about to ride on the tail of the train. Luckily for him, Pizzahead—who just wanted a quiet smoke—let him into first class so he wouldn’t freeze to death.
Pizzahead is a first-class conductor, a personal servant to the fastidious bourgeoisie, a buffoon, a masseur, and, supposedly, even a serial killer (not really). In reality, he’s awful at his job and a total parasite, which is why he manages to get the most out of his superiors. Despite all that, he actually gets along with almost the entire crew.
Pizzaface is the head chef in the kitchen and is basically Peppino’s "boss."
Jerome and John are the train’s stokers in this AU.
Here's that AU concept y'all voted for. The Cat Tower AU.
As an introduction, I'll just gush about what "type of cat" each one is. Later I'll contextualize the world per say.
I'm mostly going to go over the one's in the picture. They don't differ that much from the game in term of personality wise, is mostly all adaptation.
Peppino: Generally skittish cat. Takes a long time to get to trust you. Used to be a stray. Likes to "knead dough" aka a plush pillow that looks like dough. Likes to be left alone.
Gustavo: I'd describe him as a "emotional support cat" Somehow knows when someone is down and immediately goes to help, even for other cats. Likes befriending all sorts of things.
Pepperman: Ever seen those videos of animals painting? That's what Pepperman does. Generally paints "abstract" shapes which are more like globs of paint squished on a canvas. Thinks he is so great because he can paint.
The Vigilante: A barn cat. Somehow learned how to use a spray bottle and he's not afraid to use it. Uses said spray bottle to break out fights between other cats.
The Noise: Classic orange cat behavior, dare I need to say more? An internet cat celebrity, similar to those cats who become famous trough memes and etc. Often escapes his home to annoy Peppino of course. Definitely a rich cat.
The Doise: You know those cats that run away for like days, long enough to the point you think they might be dead until suddenly they come back totally fine like nothing happened? That's Doise. Stray and always seems to be running away. Has a fondness for Noise and wants what he has.
Fake Peppino: A rescue from being a lab cat. Not actually a clone, most similarities being more of a coincidence. looks up to and follows Peppino around much to his dismay. Initially feral but came to be more friendly with time. Seem to have "no bones" and likes hiding in dark places.
Pizzahead: A trickster. Enjoys messing with everybody whether they like it or not. Likes stealing from other cats. Loves attention and finds any way to get it.
All is subject to change if necessary but that's the basic gist of it
