With a tasty mix of Italian sausage and ground beef, these Hot Italian Sliders are a tasty take on regular sliders. They are topped with mozzarella, pepperoni, and fresh basil. Great for events or game day!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground Italian sausage. 1/2 lb ground beef. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil. 1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes. 1/4 cup chopped red onion. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1 tsp garlic powder. 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes. Salt and black pepper to taste. 12 slider buns. 12 slices mozzarella cheese. 12 slices pepperoni. 12 small basil leaves. 1/4 cup melted butter. 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning.
Instructions: Ground Italian sausage, ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, sun-dried tomatoes, red onion, mayonnaise, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper should all be mixed together in a large bowl. Combine well. Mix the ingredients together and make 12 small burger patties. Set your grill's heat to medium-high and grease the grate. Grill the burger patties for three to four minutes on each side, or until they're done the way you like them. In the last minute of cooking, cover the grill and put a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each patty. This will melt the cheese. While the burgers are cooking, split the slider buns in half and toast them briefly on the grill. Put a little mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun before putting the sliders together. First put a burger patty on each bun. Then add a basil leaf, a slice of pepperoni, and the top half of the bun. Melt the butter and mix it with the Italian seasoning in a small bowl. Use this to cover the buns with a brush. Put the Hot Italian Sliders out hot and enjoy them!
