Jake: Per-production
Storyboards
Storyboards are a huge part of filming per-production, with out the storyboards it would be hard to film because storyboards are, they are the back bone of the production and during the proaction can change if the script is changed. They tell the story of the script, by using visual images of what is happening in the scene and text that is under the image. The text under the visual image, says in a simple why what is going on in that scene. For example the image above is a line part of a storyboard, the top part of the visual images are showing what is happening in that scene, the text then tells the viewer what is happening, in shot 5 of the storyboard theres a image of someone being thrown and under the image is the text telling the shot and what is happening.
In some storyboards visual images there are arrows/ visual ads to show and telling the viewer/ you were a subject is going to move to, someone is looking or were a object is being thrown to.
Shot list
A shot list is a list of shots that can be used in scene, act or a list of shots to help the in the making and during a shoot/ filming if or not the script is changed. For example In the image/photo above that is a close up
Location Reckes
They are photos of the locations that someone has gone out, taken photos, they could well be locations that will be filmed. Someone would go out to a location with a camera/ try pod, take a few photos of the location she/ he will then go back to the per-proudtion team and submit the photos to them. The photos will then be looked at and then the director or producer will then chose if that location will be filmed at.
Risk Assessments
Risk assessments stop actors, crew and other people in the production from getting hurt or worse. Someone from the per-proutcion team will have a fill in a risk assessment for each of the locations that will be filmed at, they would have to list all of the risks/ hazards that could acer during filming, how to over come the risks/ hazards and then rate assess the Risks/ hazards for example the its low, medium, high or extreme risk.
