Watching the girl approach the bar, she couldn’t help the smile that tugged at the corner of her lips. “Third weekend in a row? I beginning to think you’re only here to see me,” She spoke over the music as she reached beneath the bar and mixed what she knew to be the frequent customer’s favorite drink.
Lauren’s fingers curled around the red, plastic cup as she waded through the crowded house. She hadn’t been at a real party in at least six months.
