It was a beautiful day out. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, all the cliches about having a beautiful day.
Percy decided to take Nico out of the house and to the park to have a nice picnic.
“Percy,” Nico whined. “I wanted to stay inside and watch Netflix.”
“Nico, it’s a beautiful fall day. It’s perfect weather to be outside before the cold reality of fall comes.” Percy told him as he spread out the blanket.
“Maybe I like the cold.” Nico mumbled. “We can stay inside and watch Netflix.”
Percy sighed. “Well, we’re all ready here. So, lets have our picnic. And I made your favorite sandwich.”
Nico watched as his boyfriend pulled out a tin foiled wrapped sub before handing it to him.
“Just don’t kiss me for a bit.”
Nico rolled his eyes as he unwrapped his tuna fish sandwich. “Not like yours will be any better. There’s probably raw onions on it.”
Percy smiled a bit before taking out his. “You’re right.”
Nico took a big bite out of his sandwich as Percy took out two bottles of coke. It was ones that said: “Share a coke with”. One of them said Nico and the other said Percy.
“Where did you find these?” Nico asked as he grabbed the one that said his name.
“Grocery store. Took me forever to find my name.” Percy told him before taking a sip of his coke.
“So you pre-planned this,” He stated.
“For about three days. I knew it was going to be nice today.” Percy shrugged. “And besides, being outside is good for you. You’re starting to get a bit pale.”
“I am not!” Nico retorted. “I’m still tan from the summer.”
“Yeah. Sure.” Percy snorted before taking a bite of his sandwich. “You’re not as tan as me.”
“That’s because you were a lifeguard over the summer and I work at McDonalds.” Nico rolled his eyes.
“Still, we went to Montauk a lot and you are still pale.”
“So what? I like being cozy and the summer isn’t cozy weather. Either you’re dying of heat or drowning in sweat.”
“It’s the best weather! I get to see you in shorts!”
“When we’re home, you can see me naked.”
“Then I can take your clothes off even easier! Layers just waste time.” Percy told him.
Percy chuckled and kissed his cheek. “You’re cute.”
“And your breath stinks.” Nico replied.
“I can same about yours.” Percy smiled.
