Current mood: Annoyed at the thought of being perceived.
I’ve become very conscious of body hair since I stopped removing mine and I feel like I see so many cis men who are not very hairy and it honestly surprises me. like I, a butch dyke, have more leg hair than you how does that make you feel. it makes me feel pretty sexy
The idea of being percieved is aweful. And then actually being percieved feels like razorbladed against my consciousness.
i hate when people try to associate wearing makeup with “conforming to oppressive beauty standards.” bans on makeup have historically been associated with extremely sexist time periods (the victorian era, for instance, and most of the early-mid medieval period, wherein natural beauty was required and makeup was seen as “vulgar” or “deceitful”)
by contrast, women wearing bold, creative makeup looks has historically been associated with female liberation (women in the 1920s sporting very bold makeup looks and short skirts to show ownership over their own bodies and compete in the job market, the bold graphic eyeliner sported by young working women in the 60s and rebellious punk women in the 70s, etc)
just.... literally Stop Spreading Bullshit History. let women wear makeup

The truth about nothing at all...
Their is no such thing as the truth. I know thats an odd thing to say, much less even believe but its true. Their is no such thing as the truth. How can that be true? Well lets put our thinking caps on! Oh thinking caps! How handy you are! Okay lets see we all withhold small details in our daily lives, so are you telling the truth? No your not, your telling the truth that you'd like to believe. Yes, because thats all the truth is, its what you want it to be. Its that simple. We see what we want to see, we hear what we want to hear, and we tell what we want to known. The truth doesn't exist. The same goes when their is an accident and their plenty of witnesses and you ask them what happened each one will tell you a different version of what happened. Yet they were all there, right? So why is it that they are telling different stories? Well because it's all about perspective. Its about who's telling it and how they perceived it. Thats the truth about their being no truth. Oh but how does that work? Well this is my truth about nothing at all or about everything. I guess you'll never really know.
