I just sent off my first query! I was mostly just desperate to see some sort of progress and was just sick of not writing for a while...maybe not the best approach, but I've been working on this book for years. So...one milestone achieved!!!

Making progress on getting my business up and running!

We've got rain and thunder here so I guess that means productivity goes out the window and I can curl up with a book, right??

Starting a new project! The outline has come along decently. But I love the discovery of it all so I am allowing myself to do a little bit of pantsing, but I did make sure my magic system and the Big Stuff was written out (ie most of the main conflict).

There are some things that are a little underdeveloped, but I'm going with it. For better or worse.

Y'all, I've been so busy with the holiday weekend, my birthday, travels, and the likes that I am so, so tired, lol.

The good news: Started Fairy Tale by Stephen King and am loving it.

The bad news: Started it as an audiobook with my husband on our 14 hr roadtrip and can't listen to more without him.

What have you been reading that you'd recommend?

I'm in a reading slump. But maybe this is a good thing because it'll actually get me to write???

MILESTONE!

I just finished adding new chapters/rewrites back into my manuscript! This draft is so close to being done! I just need to work on transitions and adding new details/fixing new things from the additions.

I've been working on this draft for so long and we are so close!
