I found a pereskia!! Believe it or not, this is a cactus with leaves! The flowers are said to be fragrant. Hope I don’t kill it!

The cactus I put on the patio is now the size of a mini-fridge. The spines have gotten quite wicked as well!

Rhodocactus (formerly Pereskia) grandifolius is a tropical cactus from Brazil with persistent leaves. The leaves are edible and taste like green pepper! I’ve been hoping to see this one flower for a while but I keep having to cut it back for one reason or another so I don’t think it’s ever been able to get large enough.
