Cade made a face at the other. He was still trying so hard to understand what they were saying. “I have... so many questions,” though he didn’t want to admit that because it made it look like he wasn’t listening. “Can you... say it slower this time?” For a teacher, Cade just wasn’t very bright.

    elizabeth had very much preferred the peace & quiet her outreach center had provided her in the nights. most of the residents were either sleeping or to busy dealing with their own issues to try & reach her. even then, one of the other mutants would probably handle it for her. something the raven haired woman is very thankful for. she had removed the blazer from her three piece pantsuit an hour prior, hair pulled into a messy ponytail, she was much more comfortable now. 

      she’s whistling a tune to herself  — a song she heard one of the younger kids singing in the early hours. it was a catchy song in her defense, even if it was some horrible pop song. with ease, the mutant throws the last of the garbage out, dusting her manicured hands and adoring a smile of triumph. and then it hits her. 

      a wave of emotions  — her attention moving to the source of the emotions almost immediately. “frank?”
