"You've... got my back?" Yamcha repeated, pausing for a moment. From what he could tell, the guy seemed pretty strong, not that he needed a bodyguard, but he isn't one to overlook a gift, after all. Why else would anyone greet him so formally?

"Thanks, but I can handle myself." A smile spread across his features as he laughed then; his spirits brightened. P'uar shifted against his shoulder; Yamcha could feel the feline's form trembling. Their frantic whispers filled his ears. Puffing out his chest, Yamcha thumped his fist against his torso with pride. This stranger felt special. Yet, he can't recall meeting them at all. "Just who are you, anyway? I'm Yamcha; around these parts, I'm king."
