Sam and Dean both remembered the days resulting after not only opening up the closed demon gate which Samuel Colt sealed, but the aftermath of how many demons were able to escape in the time the Winchesters were exterminating Yellow Eyed. The seven sins were the first portion of demons they had accidentally released onto the world, and it appeared as if they had more demons of sins to deal with.
"Just who the hell are you??" Sam growled, holding his gun up and towards the other demon. The barrel of which was a few centimeters away from the creature's forehead, Sam's thumb pulled back the hammer of the revolver as he waited for the other's response.
