James “Fish” Alcorn’s Twin Cam Rigid Chopper | Alleyway Customs Built for Chris Rosenberg A slim, hard-hitting custom built with purpose—this Alleyway Customs feature puts the details front and center. In this episode from Cycle Source, James “Fish” Alcorn walks through a wild twin cam rigid built for Chris Rosenberg and framed by Brian Butier. What makes this one stand out right away is the stance—tight, narrow, and low in a way you don’t usually see with twin cam setups. That all comes back to the foundation. The bike started with a shovelhead-style frame, which meant fitting modern twin cam components wasn’t straightforward. Instead of fighting it, Fish leaned into the challenge, and that decision shaped the entire build into something cleaner and more refined than a typical setup. The details are where it really comes alive. Prototype narrowed triple trees carry a 49mm front end, paired with an Arlen Ness brake setup. The wiring is stripped down to a super-clean six-wire system, tucked and hidden to keep the bike’s profile sharp. XR-style tanks sit tight with clean mounts, while brushed stainless pieces—including the bars, shifter, fender strut, and exhaust—were all built in-house. It also runs a foot clutch and jockey shift, giving it the kind of feel and attitude that matches the rest of the bike. The rear section stays ultra low-profile, the seat is hand-built with closed-cell foam, and both the LED headlight and taillight were machined from billet aluminum right in the shop. Nothing here is overdone. Every part has a purpose, and every choice pushes the same direction—simple, clean, and mean.
