niche (not really) music artists to help you be more performative

another semester has passed and i no longer foresee any english classes. they stress me out too much and i'm afraid of getting accused of ai cause i LOVE using semicolons and em dashes and random big words in the middle of my sentences. i've been trying to mitigate that and become a better writer by writing on here but it does NOT help...

i should preface this by saying that there are many different forms of male manipulators & today i will be focusing on the kind that is always on fashion tiktok and using wired headphones and most definitely has pierced ears with specifically silver hoop earrings. hope this guide helps you outperform them.

1. the deep

the deep's music totally reflects early 2010s ish "indie sleaze" type pop music (e.g. far east movement or kesha) but i think most people have probably heard angel tattoo by her—honestly i didn't really fw it that much at first but it's grown on me.

2. kimj

kimj (along with sebii) did produce that track by the deep. though i think kimj is still a bit more niche than sebii. he's worked with a lot of western artists in the past (i think recently nate sib) but his own music is also reminiscent of 2010s edm music. i really liked this track on korean.

3. the bird

two artists whose names start with the... interesting. anyways this specific track i'm gonna post had ren g in conjunction (on vocals i think) but a lot of the bird's music uses the same sample that lady gaga does.

4. YT

he's actually really popular but i'm not sure if that is outside of england. i've never heard anyone from here talk about him but i really like his production. i don't really know the term for what this kind of track is called but i like it and i think everyone should listen to it.

5. enhyphen

i actually just couldn't think of another artist but to be fair like if i was a male manipulator i'd def have some sort of kpop group in my playlist. i think newjeans is too easy and predictable so i'm gonna go with enhyphen (and i like lowkey fw their music...)

5. tonser

i just thought of another artist. i think i posted about him on here once before because i remember he was a lot less popular until 2hollis blew up with gold and now this evil hyperpop edm blend is really popular i think people should hop on tonser. his music is kind of joyous like a carol i think.

it's interesting how someone was literally pointing out how her "feminism" is entirely performative and even at that it relies on utopian and impossible ideals so it's just a pretense for her to do absolutely nothing to actually help people and somehow label it feminism regardless and her response was "yaassss!". presented without comment

So done with performative "woke" people who think acknowledging issues and people's rights has more to do with getting to hate groups of people with a moral disclaimer and finally getting to oppress others too. When it's *actually* about compassion and humanity and finally acknowledging that for everyone. I love how they get this high off of this performative activism by way of cutting others down and telling them what to feel and think, as though suddenly they're above all flaws and automatically assigned the prestige of being a person with no need for development or integrity. Like they genuinely refuse to be self accountable or recognize that their character is absolute shit, there's actual personal work to be done too. Like having certain beliefs or being in a marginalized category just automatically liberates them from needing to be a good person or have any kind of character whatsoever, there's always an excuse for them because being a person of color makes them above reproach and establishes them as a paragon of judgement upon all people while refusing to entertain the idea that they may have flaws. Ugh. Especially when they think there's no way you could possibly be of the same group as them if you disagree, and assume that they're more valid in speaking about an issue, all because you don't agree with them and they can't imagine tolerating that.

I'm so glad she's moving out thank GOD. Will never forget that excruciatingly long hour long lecture she gave me about how I'm not allowed to express anything about queer inclusivity in this town because it's a token of my privilege and that if I were queer I would know that, so how dare I. Making everything into an argument and then constantly throwing in my face "Are you Queer? are YOU queer-- then you don't get to say that. You don't get to ask what those resources are! Are you queer ARE YOU QUEER no you're not. So be quiet." And then weeks later found out I was both nonbinary and queer and still didn't apologize for wasting my entire night trying to have a normal conversation about things when clearly she was just looking to win an argument and claim moral superiority without knowing anything about anything. And every other awful behavior I put up with as a part of a grating personality that I just have to live with for now, all pointed to a bigger picture of a terrible character and false persona that I didn't want to assume until the evidence showed itself. Well here's the proof now staring me right in the face. Should have known. Her behavior saddling me with her rent of the apartment and dipping while simultaneously cursing at me and trashing the apartment because she was mad at the situation the office had us trapped in and wanted to blame me to make things easier for her has just firmly established just how much her entire personality of being better than it all, above reproach, and morally unquestionable was just a farce to protect her ego. She's actually a shithead and always was. She's walking out with this air of moral superiority like she's above reproach or accountability because she happens to be what, brown like me? Love how everything with her is straight up identity politics with no self awareness whatsoever and an insistence on this imagine moral superiority. What a complex. I'm so done. Like I'm going to pay for her portion of the entire apartment while she ghosts instead of clearing the situation with the office and suing her ass. I'm not going miles into debt full broke and homeless to cover her disgraceful, disrespectful shit of a character. For her to try to blame things on me and have me hold up her share of rent for her like some kind of favor I owe, just because she doesn't want to pay rent and is too cowardly to face that truth? What the actual fuck. I'm not carrying her ass while she throws curse words at me and dips, purposefully trying to screw me over and get me to pay for her share of the rent. Like wow. Let the landlord handle that shithead. If she wants to ghost she can ghost but I'm not handling that sociopath nor am I paying for her to feel decent about life and be comfortable. God as if that money would come out of my pocket, she was really expecting that I would just be forced to pay for her. I'm going to handle my end but hope karma pays her back. Cannot believe the shit I took and the way she expects me to just take it up on her behalf, even more of her shit.
