In July 2025 I was thinking about a baseball AU and started plotting the two main teams. This has been sitting in my drafts since then, whoops.
A pal was gonna help me learn all about ball sport game, but they randomly stopped talking to me cos they found out I *liked* Floch lol and I got invested in other stuff and forgot about this. So, if you noticed I only have pitchers and catchers chosen and no other positions listed, that's why. Your boy was an indoor lad and doesn't know shit about sports ball. Also also I just wanted to make messy interpersonally relationships ranging from exes, to lovers, to hook ups, to old flames. We have a little bit of Everythang.
Little bit of lore, if you care: Ereh was a Devil but got traded to Warriors for *reasons* and he gets nicknamed Traitor (there's two Eren's on the Warriors team). Insert weird relationship with your older brother you didn't know existed until later in life and complicated daddy issues. Tag team their asses!
Eruri are close to aging out, Erwin's out first, but Devils fans want them to stay playing ball together.
Yes they blow kisses at each other because I think all sports should have fan service ALSO they are role models and get lots of brand deals for being out. Go team Eruri!
There's Reijean which shocking, this was Mainly gonna be a Reijean AU in which sleeping with the enemy was the core plot point, but I'm built different in that I can't focus on a single set, I like a good ensemble cast and lots of fools I can make mess with.
Also, Magath and Shadis were/are fucking while telling their teams to not fraternize with the enemy. They had history but ended up splitting (back in college) Theo continued to play until he aged out/retired and became a coach. Shadis quit early on and pivoted to just coaching. They end up crossing paths again when their respective teams have a PR level rivalry thing going on.
Idk I can probably come back to it eventually, but I wanted to get the ball rolling, so to speak :D and I'm emptying my drafts so have at it.
