clary & jace had no luck finding her mother, which did not seem to be the bulk of their problems anymore, considering the clave was on their tail, due to the mortal cup being in their possession. the two had no intention of handing it over, until the redhead found her mother. until then, they would be keeping a low profile, & hiding amongst the mundanes. however, one good thing did come out of this, clary & jace’s relationship had strengthened immensely, as well as their feelings for one another.
weeks passed by, & clary’s health seemed to be on the ruins. nausea and fatigue threatened her already petite form. the ginger did not understand why she was feeling so lousy, but soon a startling thought came to mind. — before allowing herself to freak out, she took the initiative & went to purchase a pregnancy test, only to come to the conclusion that she was in fact pregnant. days went by, & she struggled with how she was going to tell jace. due to all the chaos going on around them, this was without a doubt the last surprise they needed. he could tell that she hadn’t been herself, & constantly asked if she was okay, while being met with a lie every time, yeah everything’s fine. finally, she racked up enough courage to come clean to him about the astonishing news. ‘hey, i know you’ve been wondering what’s been up with me lately …’ clarissa sucked in a shaky breath, before exhaling out slowly. ‘the truth is, i’m not okay. & i probably should have told you this the second i found out, but i just didn’t know how with everything going on.’ she pressed her lips together, & gazed down, unable to look at him. ‘i’m pregnant.’
