Questions:

Why is your favorite character your favorite? (“Because they’re cool” is not an answer.)

On the Marvel side of things, Daken is my favorite character because I'm a sucker for suave, amoral murderers and I like his hair. Either that or Emma Frost. Because she's sexy, but more importantly, she's a teacher, and she's in love with Cyclops. That's a lady I can relate to.

DC-wise, I cry myself to sleep at night about Savant because I relate to him so hard that it's physically painful.

Fuck, marry, kill: Give me three characters from your fandom and which you would choose the above to.

Marvel: Fuck Black Bolt, because I bet he's a party in the sack (if Medusa objects we can make it a threesome, and if she says no completely I'll settle for Maximus the Mad). Marry Emma Frost, because...Emma Frost. Kill Alex Summers, because nobody needs that. Nobody needs any of that.

DC: Fuck Catman, because...well. Marry Dinah Lance, because why wouldn't you. Kill Mad Hatter, because eew.

Jeannette. Not that I don't plan to cosplay her anyway, but I wish I had the fabulous head of white hair. And was capable of stifling my anxiety enough to wear contacts.

I cry about most things. I think the last character death I cried really seriously about, though, was Anya's, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

No, see, that's the problem, I am still not in the Teen Wolf fandom, I've still only seen four or five episodes of the first season (especially as they took everything off Netflix and Hulu wtf). Everything has been absorbed through osmosis.

It’s actually a thing I’m writing with Camaro, I was working on it during my lunch break, it has two simultaneous sex scenes with five total participants. One of whom gets off twice.

Buy Me Dinner

Pairing: TimKon

Notes: In which Kon-El is a little over-enthusiastic about boys in skirts. For Perky, who asked for more of TIm in drag ages ago, and then suddenly it started happening and I had to get it written so I could get back to what I'm supposed to be working on.

 Kon really likes the skirt.

It's getting to be a problem.

It's gotten to the point where he listens for it, attuning his ears to the unique cadences that mean Tiffany Bell is on the move. At which point he's off to Gotham, waiting for the mission to be over, waiting for Tiffany to become Tim so Kon can strip the blouse, the bra, the stockings off him and reveal the boy underneath.

But not the skirt.

He really likes the skirt.

“Look,” says Tim one evening as Kon scoops him up and flies off to somewhere private, “we've got to stop meeting like this.”

“Why?” Kon grins down at him. “Thought you liked being swept away.”

“I do. But it's getting difficult to concentrate on the mission, knowing that you're waiting for me.”

“Nothing could break your concentration.”

And then they get to Tim's apartment, and Kon kneels and presses his face to Tim's stomach, and the conversation is, for the moment, forgotten.

“So why do you always wear the same lipstick?” Kon asks later. He's still in bed, the sheet loose around his waist, watching Tim take his makeup off at the mirror. “Doesn't Tiffany own more than one color?”

“Bruce makes it for me.” Tim wipes the last of his eyeliner off with a cotton ball. “It contains compounds to neutralize a variety of poisons, tranquilizers, hallucinogens, and common date rape drugs. Plus it's SPF fifteen. He's working on marketing the formula to a number of large cosmetics companies, so soon I'll hopefully have a few more shades.”

“Hopefully?”

“I like being Tiffany. She has a good life. And she likes to look pretty.”

“How's she doing with that boyfriend of hers?”

“She's starting to get a little annoyed with him, actually.” Tim starts to gather up his dirty clothes. “She's worried that he's taking her for granted. You know they've never even been on a date?”

Kon frowns. “Would...would she like it if they went on a date? I don't know if he knows how to do that kind of thing, really.”

Tim smiles at himself in the mirror. “I think she'd like it if he took her out to dinner. Somewhere quiet.”

Kon meets Tiffany at the mall at half past six—she decided to go shopping with her friends first. He pulls at his collar nervously as he enters. Clark lent him a tie.

“Hey, Con!” She waves at him from across the food court. “Over here!”

Her friends giggle as he approaches.

“H-hey,” he says. “Tiffany.”

She beams. “Hey, Con! These are my friends. That's Stacey, and this is Christine, and over there is Malynda.”

He can hear the 'y.'

“Nice to meet you, ladies.”

They giggle again.

“Are you ready to go?”

Her eyes glint. “I think I am.”

Kon had to promise no flying, so they take a taxi to the restaurant. He read reviews, he picked it out, he made the reservation three weeks in advance—he's got this, right? And Tiffany is still Tiffany, which is a little weird but also sort of nice. She talks about shopping, and the book she's reading, and how good the food is, and it's nice.

When a stockinged foot slides up the inside of Kon's leg during the main course, though, the wink he gets is all Tim.

In some ways he's a little worried. What if it's all cover story? What if Tim doesn't really like him? It's probably a dumb thing to worry about, they've been doing...whatever they're doing...for a few months now. But Kon still worries.

“Let's go,” says Tiffany, after they finish dessert and Kon takes care of the check.

They get outside, and posture changes and suddenly it's very clearly Tim standing there, and he reaches up and grabs Kon's tie, pulls him down, and says, “Now we can fly.”

They fly.

At the apartment, Kon sets him down and says, “So. Uh. What was this all about?”

“Well.” Tim smiles at him. “You like Tiffany's clothes so much, I thought you deserved some time with her. And I wanted us to go on a date.”

“...are you still annoyed with me for distracting you when you're on missions?”

“No, not really. Although it is going to stop.” Tim pulls the blinds down.

“It is?”

“If you want me dressed like this all you have to do is ask. No more distracting me. And next time we go on a date I'm wearing a suit.”

Kon almost sags with relief. “Ok. Good. Yes, good, perfect, that sounds great.” He drops to his knees, lifts the little black skirt, pulls down the lace-edged panties, and breathes the scent of Tim in deep before glancing back up. “Can I?”

Tim grins. “Please do.”

I thought it looked good, for a movie that takes a comic with a female lead and turns it into a movie with a male lead. But it looks like it will be fun. What's upset you?

The removal of Kitty from the main plot to make yet another movie about Wolverine is most of it. Because who needs a movie about an intelligent young Jewish woman saving the world when you could make another movie about a howling Caucasian muscle man?

But more than that it's the betrayal of the loony, brightly colored promise of the end of XMFC and throwing it out to make yet another superhero movie colored almost entirely in goddamn grayscale.
