For the first part of his life Adrien was raised fairly typically, he went to school, he played sports, he participated in the science fair and was a boy scout. Until the day his older sister was killed by a lone werewolf, driven insane by drinking vampire blood. Adrien’s family was approached by the local pack master and explained what had really happened to their daughter, offering the support and help of the pack if they ever needed anything in the future, in retribution to the lone wolf killing their daughter. They read up on werewolves, reading lore and finding out information from the pack that they befriended before inviting the pack master over one day after the full moon, when he was tired and weak. They killed the pack master that day, Adrien was thirteen and his parents made him help.
From that day on, Adrien and his family trained as hunters, learning about different supernatural species and learning how to kill them. They got in touch with other hunters who helped them. They taught the Hart family how to track and kill supes, how to use them against each other, and what the best ways to torture information out of supes was. When Adrien was working in the south he came upon two vampires in a bar, one of them was quite old and the other, at a few hundred years old was the younger. Adrien tracked them for a few days, until he found the younger one’s daytime resting place and staked her. The next night Adrien was celebrating having killed a vampire, when he was attacked.
Colton killed Adrien without a single thought about the matter, and then in retribution for killing his child, Colton turned Adrien. He kept him in a dungeon at Drummond’s End while Adrien turned and while he learned about his new nature. Colton, as Adrien’s maker has complete control over the young vampire and has ordered him not to harm himself or others on the property. He has ordered Adrien not to meet the sun or to find any other ways to kill himself and Adrien hates Colton for what Colton did to him. Because Colton is his master he cannot disobey anything Colton says, and Adrien hates his own existence for it.
