After weeks of rough seas, we finally found a calm window to chase permit at the Boils. With friends aboard, the day brought laughter, Tania’s first permit, a leaping tarpon, shark action, and a barracuda finale, a blessed day of fellowship, faith, and unforgettable fishing.
Saturday’s trip out to the Boils was a memorable one for Tania and me. Despite oversleeping and getting a late start, we were greeted with a stunning sunrise and the promise of tight lines. The bite started strong, and we landed several prized permit, including a solid 25-inch catch for Tania. As the morning went on, we also picked up a barracuda, a big porkfish, and plenty of memories together on the water. By late morning, the heat had worn us out, but our cooler and hearts were full.
