Any peculiar pre-race rituals? Also what time are you aiming for in the marathon? Not really TMI, but I’m keeping this PG!

Pre-race? Sleep, usually (or a couple beers the night before). I don't have anything in particular that I like to do before a race, other than complain about how fucking early it is. Oh, and I always eat two bananas that morning.

home from Chris's "Welcome to NYC" tumblr meetup. alarms are set for 5 & 5:20am. Newport Liberty half Marathon in Jersey City at 8:30. date with Stefanie in the afternoon. It's going to be a damn good Sunday.

Newport Liberty Half Marathon

...is this coming Sunday. I'm signed up, and I'm running it.

It's weird that a half marathon is no longer my end goal. I'm no longer stressing about it, just looking at it like another training run. 

A training run where I have the potential to set a new PR. That makes me happy.

Doing a little extra carb loading this week, and going to make sure I get in a ton of hydration. Especially because I'll be meeting up with the newest NYC tumblr for a drink (maybe two?) on Saturday night.

But I'm super excited that I have another race coming up. There's just something about a race...it's exciting. It's different.

...it's not running in Central Park (NYC runners, you totally know what I mean).

Anyway, I'm done rambling. Gotta finish up work so I can head to The Offspring concert tonight.
